We went to Brian Garwood for an amendment to my elderly mom's trust and will. Despite repeated promises we have not yet received his work. We met with him on August 1st 2022 and it is February 27, 2023. Seven months of excuses. We really thought this company was reputable. I will never recommend them.

If you're in need of a GAL, you probably have more questions than you can find answers and after my experience with Nargis Khokar, let me tell you; I could write a book about why she is THE GAL you want to be appointed by the court. It isn't possible for me to fit in this review everything I have to say about her as a person, the professionalism and integrity she embodies and the quality of her services. She is 100% authentic, genuinely in this for the children, actively seeks to de-escalate situations, is beyond manipulation, will call people out on their bs and does her best [which is herculean in scale] to move mountains to get the best outcome for ALL involved.

Beware of this Firm especially attorney Robert Porter. He was selected as a GAL in my custody case and could not have been more incompetent. Mr Porter ignored evidence and testimony from several parties showing extreme alcohol abuse and an inability to hold a job. Within a week of awarding majority custody to my ex wife she showed up at my house heavily intoxicated wielding a butcher knife and was charged with a felony. She then attempted suicide with our minor child in her home. At the court hearing Mr Porter told the judge “I don’t know how we missed this” a funny statement considering he had plenty of video evidence and testimony about her mental state. After all of that I was able to become custodial parent without using any of Mr Porters services but he still took me back to court trying to collect fees for sitting in the back of the court room observing our hearings. Beware of this firm. Mr Porter is not out to help anyone or seek what is best for children. He only operates to rack up hours and fatten his invoice. If the court suggests Mr Porter as a GAL do yourself and your family a favor and plead for another attorney.

Worst criminal defense lawyer in Bloomington-Normal. Would not recommend. He lies to your family and to you. He also withholds/does not inform you of all information.

Best defense attorneys, help you with your needs. You pay for you get, highly reccomend.
