Mr. Johnson represented my wife and I on a real estate matter and I was very impressed with how knowledgeable he was. Mr. Johnson ensured that during every stage of the process, that he was only looking out for our best interest and went above and beyond to make us feel like our case took priority over anything else. Unlike most attorneys I have dealt with previously, Mr. Johnson was also very personable and the type of guy you could have a beer with. I consulted this law office when I got charged with a bogus felony. At first they were very compassionate and told me that my best bet was to get a prefile. Then they would look after my case and keep in contact with the detective on my case so they would know when I would be formally charged and have a warrant putout for my arrest. I told them I can give them half the money now and then set up a payment plan when I am formally chrarged. They told me a prefile was the way to go and a monthly payment plan would do. But they ignored my case and when I was issued a warrant the cops picked me up from my work. Thank goodness my boss is kind and didnt fire me. But they also refused to let me set a monthly plan and then refused to give me any of my money back. I was verbally abused and calle a drug addict by bob hunter himself. These people are just as bad as the police. As soon as I was formally charged they disrespected me and literally called me names like "crazy and probably just so high you don't know whats going on". Yes those words were spoken to me by a lawyer I trusted. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. Save your money and go with a public defender if its your first offense. This office will just scare you into giving them money and then completely ignore your case.

The folks I encountered at The Johnson Law Group were responsive from the moment I called which was very important to me since this was the first time needing a lawyer (outside of wills or property) and I felt like a fish out of water. From Tami, to Brent, to Kevin, all matters were handled efficiently and timely. After the fact, I received an email from Mark Johnson asking for my opinion on how their firm handled the case. We had a one-on-one conversation which I really appreciated. I would recommend this firm especially to out-of-towners with kids attending ISU.

I have been using this firm for the past 10 years and have had nothing but the best results with all my issues they have taken on. They are the only reasons I still have a drivers Lic. I was recently was faced with the situation that no mother ever wants. My son was charged with a crime and facing jail time. I did not even know where to begin. I consulted the law office of Mark Johnson (Johnson Law Group) and discussed the case with Mr. Bukalski. Mr. Bukalski was very easy to speak to and really helped me to understand our options. When we went to court Mr. Bukalski performed better than I could have ever imagined. He has a way of negotiating and convinced the judge in our favor. I can’t thank Johnson Law Group enough. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRESPOSNIVE, LACKS COMMUNICATION SKILLS. TAKE YOUR MONEY, DONT CONTACT YOU, WHEN TRIED TO CONTACT THEM, CALLS ARE NEVER RETURNED. NO INVESTIGATION DONE ON MY CASE, HELD ON TO MY SON'S CASE FOR ONE MONTH AND A HALF. NEVER INTERVIEW HIM OR ANY WITNESSES. THEN THEY HAVE HAD AN UNKNOWN ATTORNEY SHOWED UP IN COURT ON THE COURT DATE, MY SON NEVER MET THIS PERSON, AND THEY TOLD HIM TO TAKE A PLEA. THE SAME OFFER THE PUBLIC DEFENDER'S OFFICE EXTENDED WHEN HE WAS RELEASED ON HIS OWN RECOGNIZANCE. THIS LAW FIRM IS A FARCE AND I WILL CONTACT THE STATE BAR OF ILLINOIS.
