Attorney Stephanie Wong and her law firm are exceptionally above the rest with knowledge and expertise. Her experience and background as a prosecutor and now a defense attorney are invaluable to have on your side. Her communication throughout my case was outstanding, responding to phone calls and emails within a few minutes. Stephanie is a thoughtful individual who possesses a keen sense of duty and personal responsibility in all that she undertakes. She is highly intelligent while also possessing a solid sense of practicality and common-sense. She can be depended upon to “do the right thing” in her every endeavor. Her integrity is above reproach. Simply said, she can be depended upon in all manner of undertakings, great and small. I recommend her unqualifiedly and with the highest enthusiasm. I had 3 very serious felony charges against me and they were all dismissed. Stephanie saved my life and my career.

I recommend not hiring her. As my defense attorney for a period of five months, Stephanie Wong failed to provide competent and ethical representation. Her actions and statements led me to conclude that she was using fear tactics to steer me toward a guilty plea, and was attempting to protect the people that were involved in a trumped-up false arrest including an illegal search of my residence, and another illegal search and seizure of firearms in my home. Following a motion hearing on 10/2/2017 where her unprofessional and unethical conduct finally convinced me that I could no longer have her represent me, I fired her. Wong then filed a motion to withdraw as my attorney and was heard on 10/23/2017. I requested a refund of the $14,000 fee and she responded that there would be no refund. I requested. I filed a request with The Chicago Bar Association Committee on Professional Fees asking for help in recovering the fee. She responded to them that she refuses to pay a refund and will not refund the fee and declined to participate in their program.

Stephanie was very thorough with my son's traffic and criminal case. She was very detailed and knoweldgeable. we could not have had a better result. I would recommend her to anyone who needs an aggressive lawyer.

Hired her services twice. The first time she took care of everything and explained everything that was required of me, without sugar coating anything. She explained the prosecutors perspective and made sure to answer any and all questions I had for her. The end result was better than I could've ever hoped and she made sure to keep in touch with me throughout the entire process. The second time I utilized her services she has come to feel like a motherly figure for me in the legal system. I cannot thank her enough for keeping an open mind and caring as much about my freedom as close family and friends. I felt very reassured with her as my defense. There have also been multiple instances where I have been applauded for choosing her services by the local Bloomington residents.

We hired Ms Wong to handle my daughter’s case in ‘attempted resisting arrest’ charges by a Normal police officer. Ms Wong was not the least interested in fighting for my daughters rights, trying to win this case, or give us sound legal advice. She only wanted to cash in on her “college student from the big city” (her words!) Her recommendations were to not go to trial because we would lose. She recommended pleading guilty and letting it go. Later we found out there were prior issues with the arresting officer, and the officer ended up resigning just after the case went before a judge. She could have had the case thrown out, but didn’t even bother to research. Definitely do NOT recommend her.

I would like to give my sincere thanks to Stephanie Wong in my sons case. Stephanie was always professional and caring. She's great about keeping you informed with every aspect of the case. It is clear she looks out for your well being. She was there to walk my son through very thing that came up. I would highly recommend to anyone in need of an excellent attorney.

I can't say enough positive things about Stephanie. From the very first meeting she helped me through a very difficult situation. She was so helpful and explained everything during the whole process. Hired her because of her reputation and the end result did not disappoint. I would recommend her for any criminal case and she went beyond just the basics. I consulted with other lawyers and expected to pay much more for Stephanie but that was not the case.

I was looking at 12 years in jail for an offense i didn't commit. she explained the rules at trial, explained the risks of trial and the possibility of plea bargaining. I went to trial and the jury decided I was innocent in 1 hour. Stephanie doesn't sugar coat but I had the information I needed and made a good decision. I would recommend her to any one who needs a good lawyer

She is very detailed and knowledgeable about the law. Explains the procedure. I felt like I had someone in my corner. I first got her name from another attorney who did not do criminal law but then I got her name again from a second attorney.
