James and his team allowed me to walk through this process with dignity and some degree of peace. I cannot thank them enough for guiding through the most difficult experience of my life. They do not come cheap but they don't really suggest that they do. They earned their money. I certainly hope I never have to see them in a professional capacity again but will refer anyone who is going down this road to James and his team.

After nearly 50+ Five Star reviews of James, what else could possibly be said that hasn't already been said? Probably nothing. Nevertheless, I must share my experience. James is, without question, one of those 'old school' lawyers who will fight for you to the bitter end. Who, despite his enormously respected and high profile reputation, will make every client he works with seem valuable and important. He is clear, concise and has zero interest in stringing along a case for financial gain- which unfortunately is not the standard with most lawyers. He is quick thinking, strategic and can simultaneously see the big and small picture of complex legal matters. I don't know how he does it, but he is on top of everything and doesn't let anything fall through the cracks. He is a man amongst men and is worth every single penny and then some. You need to call him right now and hire him.

I hired James and his team after working with a small group for more than 3 years and was still not divorced. When I met with James at Beermann Law, James made me feel comfortable and confident that he could take good care of me and my situation. James was hired- after a defeating battle with prior representation- to turn my support and custody case around; he far exceeded my expectations. James won my trial with top results that left precedent in the state of Illinois. He was referred to me as the "shark" I needed to stand up for me in a high net worth, high profile case; the skill and passion he has to stand up for what is right is impressive. What is most impressive, however, is his ability to put the client before himself. James can see the entire picture of who a client is and what is in the best interest of their life and future, and fight for it. One of his greatest values is his ability to then translate that to a Judge. His foresight makes him dependable and his integrity makes him trustworthy. I have since referred several diverse cases to James and they have all been extremely happy with him and their results. You will not find another lawyer who has as strong of an adamant drive to win, with just as strong of a passion to do what is best for you, topped with knowledge of the law to win you favor when you need it most.

James and his entire team did a terrific job through an incredibly difficult divorce with several unique issues. They made every effort possible to resolve the matter amicably and avoid going to court, they kept me informed of everything I needed to know, and they worked diligently to limit the financial impact of the divorce on both parties. James took a personal stake in helping me navigate an extremely confrontational parenting situation. While not everything turned out exactly the way I would have liked, James kept both his team and me focused on the most critical issues, and delivered on the most important parts through strong preparation, reasonable, well thought out proposals, and the willingness to push hard on issues that were important to me and my children. More than anything else, I had no doubt through the entire process that James and the team he brought to the case were fully invested in helping me and my children through a difficult time in our lives. I don't know if there is much more you can ask for from a lawyer.

James and his team did a great job in my case. I had a previous attorney that did nothing for me. He would just giver me the run around and in the end screwed me over. I hired him mid case when thing got worse. James was VERY helpful and walked me through each step and explained everything very well. My case was a little unusual and they knew what to do and came up with a great game plan. When I wouldn't go to court they were awesome in communication. They would let me know what happened right away and would answer any questions I had. I can't say anything but good things about them. Would recommend!

James is incredible at what he does. Not only does he know the law inside and out, but he has a fantastic demeanor and ability to help you see the impacts of the decisions you make. He is oriented around mediation and compromise, but it's afraid to push hard and win if the occasion calls for it.

I am writing to highly recommend James Quigley as a Family Law/Divorce attorney even though he was not my lawyer, he was against my interest in a family law lawyer matter. Quigley deposed me for three hours of relentless and grueling questioning. His approach was methodical and his strategy was clear and as he walked me through it, there was nothing I could do. Immediately after my deposition there was no choice other than to settle the case. As skilled and intense as Quigley and his associate were, he was at all times professional and respectful. I would not wish divorce upon any individual, but if you find yourself in the situation of having to get divorced, James Quigley and his team at the Beermann firm is the only choice. When you see their beautiful downtown and North Shore offices you know right away you are getting the best. You definitely get what you pay for.

People talk in a positive way about wanting to have a "shark in the courtroom" -- someone who is adept and is skilled with great ability and a gut sense. Well James Quigley to me is that but perhaps more of a maestro who oversees his highly skilled team at Beermann Law to try to orchestrate the best outcome for his clients as he waits for the crescendo to happen at just the right moment. I am highly recommending this National Board of Trial Advocacy family law trial advocate for those in need of expertise especially in a trial environment. My high-conflict divorce from my husband of more than 20 years was extremely complicated and needed the Beermann Law team approach. James Quigley stood out to me as an expert in the courtroom, quite "quick on his feet" when hit with distracting filed petitions by the opposing counsel that operated in "scorched earth" fashion. As a Northwestern-educated Olympian, I can tell you we didn't always see eye-to-eye when I questioned the process--in part because I am a competitive person who expects immediate results. But when forced into the courtroom, I knew I had an individual (with a talented team) who would keep this same spark with me going, eager to get results for me, his client.

James Quigley, Shana Vitek and team assisted me with a Pre-Marital Agreement. I found them very responsive, thorough and fair. I would highly recommend using them.

Initial meeting with James was impressive. He clearly knew the law around grandparent custody and explained how difficult it would be and described how he would work with his staff to minimize the expense as much as he could. We gave him a mountain of paperwork that they used to put together the case which they turned around in just a few weeks. We went over what we had with another short meeting and were happy to hear he thought we had a good chance in his opinion. As our case moved forward James and his team were always available to us even outside the normal business hour on an emergency basis. This meant the world to us as we has involvement with our troubled Son trying to get his kids back when he was still drunk, and may other troubling dealings with him. We hired James and his team because of reviews like this and were ecstatic with the outcome. We did win after 9 months of court but even if we hadn't won I would have written that James, Jordan, and Madison were a great team and far exceeded our expectations. They met each challenge with optimism, thoughtfulness, and drive all while conserving our expenses. I have included our names and e-mail as I want this team to know how much we appreciate what they have done and even more to be able to do it within the budget that we had originally discussed in the very beginning. Now a little bit about James: 1. In our first meeting he walked in with an air about him that you just knew he knew his business and was not going to settle for less then making his best effort. 2. He was VERY honest that there was a great chance that we would loose this case. Grandparents have no rights in the State of Illinois. In January that change to limited rights but it didn't help our case. 3. James followed our case even when he didn't need to because we were having success in court without him. He was very thoughtful of the time he put in and consulted his team in the background when he determined he needed to. This was trans parent to us other than seeing his time in the monthly billing that was supplied. 4. I've dealt with other attorneys where the billing didn't meet what was being delivered, well that wasn't the case with this firm. We got the monthly billing and as I examined there were many cases where the time was booked and the cost was $0. 5. In the second or third month we had a issue with our grand kids and were in a spot where we had 2nd thought if we wanted to pursue custody. James was on the spot with his discussion with us and helped to affirm our priorities and what it would really do for the kids. This was something that lasted the rest of the time with my wife and I and will live with us for many years to come. In closing I want to say that we can never THANK YOU enough for helping us to navigate through a legal system that is not prepared for grandparents to get custody of the children.
