In the "good old boys" family law industry bereft with Porsches and Corvettes, I highly recommend the law firm of Beermann Pritikin Mirabelli Swerdlove – in particular, James Quigley and Jared Pinkus -- partners who did a fantastic job advocating for my kids and I; applying the law; and putting on a great case at trial in my divorce. They treated me with absolute respect, humanity and dignity everyday especially as a late-deafened mom with 2 young kids and who gave up her career to support her corporate exec husband and our family. James & Jared fought hard like pitbulls and Dobermans while being honest about what was worth fighting for and never overbilling me. They have compassion and understanding of the pain that divorce causes children and families and made it easier for us. They are truly one of the best kept secrets on the North Shore. Since my ex hired 1 of the big 2 North Shore divorce firms that everyone uses up here, I initially hired the other firm who billed unreasonably high and would not let me question their bills. My husband’s firm said I faked deafness and did not need ADA accommodations in court to hear what was going on. I switched to Beermann North Shore. As a deaf adult, I appreciated Jared’s and James’ patience in working with me and my invisible disability to ensure that I understood every Skype call, meeting and memo especially when the other side said I was faking not hearing. Had a somewhat small speeding ticket (93 in a 55). Called Jim with Fabbrini Law Group. Great people over there. Explained my situation and from the start of the conversation they knew exactly what to do. They helped me through out the entire process. Their response time for emails and phone calls were amazing. Jim got a major case for me dismissed 100% on a technicality at trial!!! I have worked with some of the best lawyers in IL, and the Fabbrini law group trumps them all! A loooong time ago, I was arrested for stealing from my job. I was charged with Felony Theft. Not only did Bridget Ann Clark-Castrejon get my sentence reduced to a Misdemeanor, but I avoided any jail time and got supervision. Then when I was an idiot and got arrested for retail theft (and was promised I would serve jail time for the Felony Theft mentioned earlier), she was the only reason I avoided jail time for both. Now, with job after job lost because of these two theft charges, she has done the impossible--without a good legal precedent either (miracle worker!)--and has guaranteed my chance at getting both expunged. Not sealed, which can come back to haunt you, but expunged. That means they give me all convictions, finger prints, and mug shots. No one can ever get their hands on those ever again. And if he can do this for a Felony Theft case, imagine what she can do for your DUI.
