Being a nurse with the same company for 28 plus years, I thought I was secure in my job. Through good and bad, we banded together to take care of our patients. I worked my way into management and was proud of my staff and my company. Until I became the patient. Getting hurt on the job at first seemed like an untimely inconvenience. It doesn’t matter how long you have been with a company, workers comp is like any other business and they are not on your side. 2. Don’t wait to call a lawyer if you are hurt on the job. I waited in pain for almost a year. If you are hurt, call Jack Cannon and his team. They are on your side. They will do the fighting so that you can do the healing.
