Gabriela Asrow (and Gloria Block) fought and gave me my freedom. Gabriela was determined, reasonable, and focused. Gabriela is so amazing for a number of reasons - far more than I can list. Gabriela explained to me the law, the situation and what a judge would find reasonable and what a judge would not find reasonable. The difference between other lawyers telling me ‘no’ and Gabriela explaining why something I wanted was not feasible created a situation where I could reassess my needs and allowed me to reasonable and flexible. Gabriela also ensured I knew of something I needed was within my rights and doable. Gabriela helped me avoid a number of problems with my ex by either setting me straight or helping me understand the greater situation. Gabriela used every interaction for work on my case - no small talk, no personal information, just work - which I appreciate more than I can express. While Gabriela is warm and supportive, she’s there to help and get the job done and she knows it. Gabriela stuck with me when my post-allocation went from frustrating to all out chaos and defended me better than I could have imagined. Watching Gabriela in court is like watching a savant practice their talent. I don’t know how she can keep so much technical knowledge at the front of her mind but she does and she does not get rattled. Again, I would not be free without Gabriela. I can say that honestly and with full belief. I will never be able to thank Gabriela (and Gloria) enough.

Gabriela Asrow gave me my freedom. My divorce and post divorce was extremely complicated to say the least. Gabriela jumped in head first, knows the law and my allocation back and forth, and represented me with gusto and professionalism. I was often shocked by the information she knew in an instance about my case in particular. Only because it seemed knowledge that I would have front of mind, and no one else should. Gabriela did. I’m sure she has a life outside of the office, but I never paid for small talk or had to worry about her personal feelings getting in the way of defending me. I cannot say enough about Gabriela, except she is by far the best lawyer in Chicagoland - and I’ve had my share of lawyers before.

My divorce was extremely contentious to say the least. Negotiations were extremely difficult. However, Ms. Gabriela Asrow never gave up. The mere fact the divorce was finalized in a little over a year is a testament to her hard work. I appreciated her vast knowledge of the law which was very helpful during this difficult process. This was a tough settlement. However she got it done and was tough with me when necessary. She also cares deeply about children so I highly recommend her if should children / visitation an issue.

Hiring Gabriela for my pre-nuptial agreement was the best decision I could’ve made. Not having a legal background, she quickly brought me up to speed on the critical concepts covered in the agreement & ensured I understood the risks to each. She was able to incorporate my wishes into the agreement in a fair & agreeable way which brought negotiations to a close quickly.
