They impressed me with their intimate knowledge of the family law process and judicial system (during initial consultation knew that my judge was visiting from a different court system -- other lawyers I interviewed, did not). Before I got involved in my current custody case I did extensive research in looking for a family attorney. A family friend who is a corporate attorney suggested Jan, as well as her friend who is a family attorney herself. After I interviewed Jan and told her about my situation I stopped my search. Our very first appearance in front of the judge we got joint custody/parenting schedule (not an exaggeration). Subsenquently each motion there after we filed has gone my way ( daycare choice, passport to travel) and soon to be residential custody. Another BIG DEAL I want to point out there have been 3 instances where I told Jan about some charges that I shouldn't be responsible for and she immediately removed them, no back and forth at all. To say I highly recommend Jan would be an understatement. Extremely thorough and very knowledgable, a pit bull in a skirt or pants suit depending on the day! I can tell you there are more bad attorneys than good in family law. Jan is at the top of the good ones. Do your own due diligence and then meet with Jan, you'll understand my point when you do.

I was worried about my divorce. Jan explained everything in terms I could understand. She walked me through everything from start to finish and explained my options along the way. I cant thank her enough for helping me with my divorce but helping me see this as a new beginning.
