Steve was very helpful from beginning to end. He always got back to me within 24 hours or less when I had questions. I was truly satisfied with my compensation results during my work comp case and my final settlement check. It was more than expected.

I did not want to leave this review but I have no choice when I can’t contact my attorney. I currently have 2 workers comp cases with the Illinois hammer, The first one was in January 2022 I slipped on ice fractured my tail bone, my initial complaint at the time of accident were my BACK, BUTT, and NECK to this day I have NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS CASE I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A SETTLEMENT EVEN AFTER I RETUNED BACK TO WORK!!!! While fighting this case I’ve had my payments turned off multiple times, treatment for my NECK AND UPPER BACK REFUSED, after therapy I WAS approved for only tailbone was done I went back to work in NOV. 2023. Only to hurt myself again in April 2024 because I was not given the proper treatment from the beginning!!! I call to let my attorney know I inured myself he’s just ecstatic that there is another case, I didn’t get any answers about a settlement from the first case just being told now both cases are combined!! The case was approved by workers comp any payments began but they ended the last week of June first week of July maybe. also at this time the WC is still not approving any treatments for the new injury I sat for months not knowing what to do. Then I finally spoke with my attorney he told me I was eligible for STD OR UNEMPLOYMENT. Tried to get STD but once the WC found out they put me back on a workers comp leave which makes me ineligible for STD. It is now DECEMBER 2024 I have not been paid since July, I am covering my physical therapy treatment using my work insurance that I pay for, that I can no longer afford due to having no income. I am a single mother of 2 facing eviction because I hurt myself on the job!! I can no longer contact my attorney nor his assistant all my calls are being forward to his VM so you can’t speak to anyone. But when you call to inquire about their service they will blow you up to get you to sign your case with them then NOTHING!!! I even emailed Dominic Maciarello on two different occasions desperately seeking help to no avail on the last try. My attorney mentioned that I managed to reach out to the partner that did still practice law, however it means nothing. I have been off work since April 2024 my last payment from WC was in June 2024. Find a private attorney because it seems to me if your case isn’t a million dollar case you will get no help here.
