Very professional group, kept me up to date on progress of case.

Mr. Shiftley is consciousness,and shows real concern,about my case. He explains my case in a clear and concise manner, so I understand what is going on. I feel fortunate to have him represent me.

After having spoken with my attorney Joe, I realized that we had a miscommunication which I'm partly to blame and accept my responsibility in the miscommunication. My attorney has convincingly put any thoughts that I may have had about the status of my cast to rest. My attorney answered and reassured me beyond any thought in my mind that he is on the case and doing a good job after having spoken with him I convinced that he is the perfect lawyer for me. Communications is a two way street it is also the clients responsibility to find out the facts before over reacting which I'm responsible for over reacting. My lawyer has done a good under the circumstances we still have a ways to go but I'm convinced that my attorney and his law firm is the right one for the job!!

My husband hired this guy for two workers comp cases last year. Every time he would go to the doctor or receive any other doumentation (i.e. PT schedules , HR documents) I faxed ALL paperwork to him. I even asked my husband if Mr. Martay responds that he receives the documents. My husband has recently discovered his first claim from 2015 was denied and Mr. Martay didn't even notify him!! Last week, after finally tracking him down, my husband had to meet him iat the DuPage County Court HouseHouse (that's when he got the denial news).. we live in southern Cook County!!! Needless to say, He's FIRED!!! Save yourself some heartache...it sounds like Stephen Martay is a better choice of the two (from the reviews)

Not effective or aggressive counsel. After three years with no results with Michael Haber, new counsel simply had deposition with the ex and things began to reverse. Turns out the ex had been lying in a protracted custody battle, but Haber did not have forethought to depose her or ask for a hearing that would flush out her inconsistencies. New counsel did. Unfortunately three years went by and ex continued to brainwash children mercilessly. Now the children no longer want me around so really disappointed I wasted time and trust with this firm. And he was referred by a friend. The new attorney let me know when interviewing that he had TIME to help and wasn't busy with other business ventures like Michael Haber had been the last few years. You see they were associates. So, I basically have zero relationship with children primarily because of ex--but secondarily because of weak representation from this firm. So beware. Maybe they are a boutique firm with lots of great law words to put on paper--or maybe they are more of the same old club that hangs around lake county holding people upside down until no more money is left. At least I paid for someone's college. Wish it was my own children's.

They are very professional. My case was settled quickly. I do recommend them. Karen always kept in touch with me and always was available if I had questions.
