He advocates for and cares about what is right for me and my children, and has continued to represent me even though my ex has threatened and assaulted him and his associates. He is professional, on time, respectful and patient with clients. He succeeded in getting me an Order of Protection, and finds critical information to use in court. Derek Bradford completely mishandled my divorce. But it was very profitable for him. He manipulated the situation to prolong and extend the proceedings for almost two years. He antagonized and upset the opposing attorney, so that every issue became a major problem. His attempts to intimidate the opposing counsel and my ex, made everything more difficult than it needed to be. He suggested that other "professionals" be brought in to assist. These were expensive advocates and specialists he recommended. Each process took months and, in the end, didn't add value. When it was all said and done, my ex and I came to an amicable, fairly standard agreement. Derek extracted $14,000 from me in fees and costs. This was a major portion of the overall settlement. Be careful with this guy. You think he's one your side, but his eye is strictly on the money. His motivation is his compensation, not your outcome.
