i worked with Sean for 2 years on a post-divorce decree. Sean led my representation brilliantly. He had a very clear strategy, which ultimately worked. He knew his adversary -who was shifty, unwieldy and wiling to play dirty. But Sean always took the high road. He was overly prepared for every meeting with the Judge and established supreme confidence and credibility with his command of the facts. Sean had a complete command of the facts about the case, facts about the evidence and facts about the case law! Sean's credibility with the judge, and his calm, dispassionate, consistent strategy ultimately won our case. i would recommend him anyday. He was worth 5x his value.

I was referred to Sean Hamann by a friend after spending a year trying unsuccessfully to settle my divorce via mediation. I had been married for 25 years and there was a lot to unpack emotionally and financially and by the time I met Sean I was a mess. Sean explained everything clearly and navigated the long divorce process with my uncooperative, narcissistic husband and his incompetent lawyer in a thoughtful and respectful way. Sean has a sharp knowledge of the law and ran circles around the other lawyer basically having to do the work for both of them if we were ever going to get to the finish line. What I appreciated as much as anything was that Sean truly cared about my well-being and was responsive and personally engaged in the whole process. My only regret is that I didn’t hire him sooner.

I can not say enough good things about Sean and the Lake Toback DiDomenico firm overall. Not only are they excellent at their jobs (and far superior than the firm selected by my ex) but they were a great support structure during a very difficult period of life. Divorce is not easy, but they made it much better and got a great outcome out of a bad situation.

Sean is a true expert. Despite being relatively young he is well known for his encyclopedic knowledge of family law. When waiting for my case to be called I saw other lawyers twice his age ask him for advice on their cases. Sean has a case for every issue at the top of mind. I'm a commercial litigator by trade and frequently litigate against Ivy League lawyers from the most respected firms and Sean's brief writing is on par with the best of them. Having to get a divorce was something I never thought I was going to have to go through. This divorce was not a easy process to handle and there was a lot of stressful moments involved. With Sean being my lawyer he always made me feel that I was making the right decisions and walked me through every worry that I had. Board of Directors of a Condominium Association in Lakeview needed attorney referral for a forcible entry case. Mr. Hamann was incredibly professional, helpful, and responsive. He responded to the board's inquiries immediately as time was of the essence, which enabled the association to make a quick decision. He gave introductory new-client rates that were more than reasonable compared to what other attorneys are charging for the same service.
