Ian took on my case for a reasonable price when no one else would. I am beyond thankful and blessed to be recommended by him through a friend. I was wrongfully convicted of aggravated assault with a firearm. I was sentenced to 12 months Probation with is a conviction in Illinois August 2016. Ian Barney along with his colleague filed two post trial motions. Motion for a new trial and motion for to reconsider the sentence. In September 2016 less than 45 days from my original conviction my sentence was reduced to 12 months court supervision which is not a conviction and can be expunged after 2 years. I also never lost my CCL or Foid card through this whole ordeal. I still maintain my innocence but at the same time satisfied with the outcome. Life goes on . Thanks Ian

Mr. Barney represented me on an Order of Protection based on false accusations. The case ended up going to a full blown hearing. After hearing my testimony and listening to Mr. Barney cross-examine the other side, the judge threw the case out. I was very pleased with Mr. Barney's representation and thought he was very knowledgable, well prepared, and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him.
