When I was going through my divorce she kept me apprised and focused on the tasks I needed to complete to make the proper decisions concerning my case. Every step of the way she focused on what was right and fair legally as opposed to my emotional desires.

There was a lot at stake in my divorce. I am glad I hired Tanya Witt. I would've made costly mistakes without her. Once I hired Tanya, my ex and her lawyer immediately stopped trying to take advantage and became rational. There was something related to my child that I was trying to get in place for over a year and my ex always refused. Tanya got it done in like 30 minutes. My child was the most important thing to me an Tanya listened. Had I kept representing myself, I would not have my child as much as I do and I would not have gotten a fair settlement. I felt well represented.

Tanya did a great job - better than my wife's big firm lawyer. She knew her stuff, promptly replied to all my calls and emails, and prevented me from making some big mistakes. Highly recommend.

I switch to Tanya after my previous attorney was not letting me know what was going on in the case. I discussed this with Tanya prior to hiring her and she said she would keep me well informed, which she has. I get an email within a day or so of any new movement, which i like - I need to at least know what is happening. My divorce is a little complicated in that we have 2 small children and pretty different ideas on how to raise them. Tanya is helping me understand my options and how the law tries to do what is best for the children, and what rights I have, and how to come up with a reasonable position about coparenting. Probably no one really likes getting divorced, but she has been good to have on my side as we sort all of the issues out.

I would recommend this firm for a family law matter. I am a physician and know the value of a focused practice area. I like that family law is all they do, so they know it very well. They represented me in my divorce and really looked out for my interests. The divorce process was stressful, but that was not really their fault - it is just how it works in the courts with the laws, and dividing assets and agreeing to custody arrangements is just not fun. That said, this firm guided me through the process and pointed out a lot of things that I had not thought about, which really made them very valuable to me. I was very pleased with what they did for me and how it worked out.

Even though my divorce is in Kane County I wanted a Chicago attorney. I also wanted a female attorney. Tanya got me a much better deal than I would have on my own. She was very strong in court and negotiations, and really looked out for my rights. Highly recommended.

I have been very happy with my representation by this firm. The divorce process is more complicated and complex than I expected, and Tanya has educated me. I am glad she takes the time to explain the process and watch out for me so I do not do things that are not in my best interest. My advice: Follow the process and do what she says. I have been married over 15 years and there is a lot to address and resolve in my divorce. I also like that she has an associate that is very helpful and can work on my case at a lower rate. I hired the Witt Law Firm to represent me in my second divorce. I really liked how they kept me very informed of options and how the case was progressing. I also liked how Tanya is heavily involved in every case, but has an associate that can do some of the work, at a lower rate. My wife wanted to really cash out in the divorce. Witt Law helped me hold out for what was more reasonable, and actually a bit better than I ended up in my first divorce. In the long run, fighting for a reasonable settlement will be a very good investment.
