If 0 stars were an option, that's what this firm would get. I made the poor decision to go back to this place for a 2nd consultation through my workplace legal plan, which I pay good money for. I was clear why I was coming back (I had legal documents that hadn't been formalized the previous visit). I just wanted a VERY brief legal overview/opinion. If I was out of line expecting that from my plan, just tell me. Instead, I was all but thrown out of the office as Deborah repeatedly said, "No. No. I won't do this." She was all false sympathy until she realized I had been in to see her before - in other words, when I looked like dollar signs. She had offered me a retainer quote last time, but went out of her way to say she was doubling it now. Her tone was brutally harsh and exasperated, as if I had done something offensive to her personally. I was already feeling vulnerable - going through a divorce and being out of my element in a legal office. She made me feel utterly worthless. And finally, there are paintings leaning on walls, not even hanging. There are boxes overflowing with papers. The environment is just as unprofessional as the people who work there. And, to backtrack, while I sat in the waiting room, the receptionist repeatedly sighed angrily, huffing and puffing to herself. She clearly bears the brunt of the bad energy there. Save your time and money - go ANYWHERE else.

Debra Hawkins, is a very poor attorney. I put money money up to retain her. I did not think she was the right attorney for me. When she withdrew, she took every penny of the retainer fee. You need to beware, and check around before using her. The retainer fee was several thousand dollars. It cost me about a thousand dollars for each court appearance. And all she did was continue it. Would have been better off with a public defender. This attorney is in it for the money and not for her clients.
