Michael is a great attorney. He did my divorce, which was very difficult due to the ex-husband's wealthy family fighting against me. He took them on with grace and knowledge. Since my ex-husband comes from a wealthy family, he went after me for maintenance support because he ran his company into the ground. I didn't want a dime from his wealthy family, but he wanted everything, including to kick me out of my very own house that I worked my entire life to buy. He even paid off a corrupt appraiser and a realtor agent who appraised my home at $100K over the market value. This divorce has nearly cost me my health, but Michael not only stood by me the entire 18 months of my divorce but was very understanding and answered all my panicky calls every time. At the end of the day, he got me what I wanted, and I have since recommended him to my friends, who were also happy with his services. I cannot recommend Michael enough, especially if you are a woman fighting your ex-husband for divorce or child custody. He will do everything the legal system allows him to get you the best outcome. I should have left him this feedback seven years ago. After seeing some of these reviews, I can tell you that they do not describe Michael, his knowledge, and his ability to represent you. You cannot find a more knowledgeable attorney in the area.

Its a concern to see a professional as this Attorney allow his clients to post libeling and slandering vindictive comments about his peers. The instability of this issue would be a reason I would look elsewhere. I’m posting my opinion after reading horrific comments on a personal blog page. No I’m not a former client But neither is Angie Kotler.

Michael is absolutely fantastic, he has been my attorney for the past couple of months and was immediately able to get me more visitation with my only daughter. He is kind, courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable regarding family court matters. I could not be more happy or satisfied with the work and dedication that Michael has put in regarding my case. If you are looking for an ethical, intelligent, straightforward and compassionate attorney, Mr. Chiero is the way to go!

Thanks to Michael and the advice he gave me when mind you he isn't my lawyer. He helped me give advice to my current lawyer to help me keep my daughters. He did not charge me a dime, he spent 25 minutes on the phone with me. Asking questions and giving me free legal advice. If I didn't have the Lawyer i have now I would go with him without a second thought!

Michael was my divorce lawyer for two long years. During that time he had monthly pointless status updates in court, countless continuances and court appearances and no work was actually done. I paid him monthly and no progress happened on my long and painful divorce. I eventually had to switch lawyers after I found out that during the two years all I had was status updates and attempts to locate information & continue my case. My new lawyer had the case closed within two months.

Absolutely AWFUL "attorney". This guy acts cocky as if what he says is the word of Christ himself, but he does NOTHING. Him or his secretary won't return calls. Ask him a question via text, he'll charge you $50 a pop, but won't answer the question. Couldn't get a single reply from him or his secretary if my life depended on it. Lets the other side COMPLETELY walk all over you. In five years of fighting PRO SE, I've successfully substantiated regular visitation, built a healthy relationship with my son, and created a parenting agreement signed by both parties. In the two months I've had this attorney, he... Got my visitation suspended on his FIRST court date. Charged me several hundred dollars for text message questions sent to him from me with ZERO reply. Charged me $50 to send me a PDF of my own order that I had in my hand that he said he needed. Charged me $700 to have a conversation about our "strategy", saying he was going to file a motion to have my visitation reinstated and expanded. Charged me almost $2,000 to attend two court dates to stand at the petitioner's box and say NOTHING. He did not file a SINGLE motion. He did not ask the courts for ANYTHING.

I was referred to Michael Chiero by an attorney who I have always trusted and respected and I was not let down. I had been dealing with a teenager who had behavioral issues and wanted to live with his other parent for all of the wrong reasons. Michael saw through everything and brought up points that I would have never realized on my own. He reassured me when I was scared and is amazing in front of the judge. He knows the law extremely well and can articulate his position perfectly in court. I strongly recommend him.

I have worked with Michael Chiero on two cases and he is an exceptional attorney. Although my cases were not cut and dry, Michael fought extremely hard for me. We were successful in both cases due to his diligence, steadfastness, in-depth knowledge of the law, and attention to detail. When geography made it impractical for me to stay with my original divorce attorney, my attorney recommended Michael to me as the best she knew. She was right. Michael was thorough and professional, patient, understanding and a good listener. Just as important, he then took my situation to heart and planned a strategy that protected my interests and those of my child while still being fair to my spouse, defended me against unseemly behavior by my spouse and spouse's attorney, then came through again two years after the divorce was final when further misbehavior by my ex required a return to court to defend my custody rights. For knowledge, ethics, bedside manner, fair and unpadded fees (although not low – you get what you pay for), and optimum results, I highly recommend him.

Michael is by far one of the most experienced and remarkable divorce attorneys I have ever encountered. He has served as an excellent mentor to me regarding family law practice. I had the privilege of clerking for him back in law school and witnessed his exceptional litigation skills in the courtroom. He truly cares about his clients. I can attest to this because I, too, have been a client of his going through my own divorce. Michael put me at ease throughout this difficult process. Few attorneys have the acquired skill to meet both the client's expectations and also reach a fair and effective resolution. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for an exceptional divorce attorney.

I had been through a few lawyers before I came to Mr. Chiero, and had always had issues with lawyers over-charging me or not taking my issues seriously. Mr. Chiero seemed to quickly understand my issues with support and maintenance, and assured me that he could easily handle the case. He just kind of has a way with words, to where I was very quickly aware of details of my situation that other lawyers had left out or decided that I didn't need to know. When he was in court, he always paid attention to the littlest detail and was completely fearless in his defense of my case. I would refer any of my friends or family to him. I have had small issues over the years after my case was finished and he is always easy to contact, helpful, intelligent and fast to get what I need done. He was also very fair with me, and I feel that I actually took his counsel to be well worth the money. Especially since I never felt like I was being over-charged for anything. I highly recommend this man to anyone!

Mr. Chiero was my lawyer several years ago in a child custody issue I had. I was repeatedly fighting with my ex; we could never agree on anything and my poor son was caught in the middle. He would come home with mystery bruises and little explanations for the injuries when he returned from his fathers' home. My lawyers at the time seemed to care little and would never return my calls. Mr. Chiero handled the case in a very professional manner once I hired him. He would take my calls, and had a very soothing demeanor. He was unintimidated by my ex's lawyers, and fought to get me an Order of Protection that saved my son a lot of pain. I now am able to support my son with the custody deal he worked out, and I know that my son is safe in my custody. The ease with which Mr. Chiero was able to reference the law and his skill in the courtroom made me comfortable at all times. I highly recommend him!
