Mr. Chiero represented me a few years ago when he was employed with La Sale Street law firm Rinella & Rinella. My experience with him was very dissapointing. On various occasions he failed to advise me of important matters that were conveyed to him by my ex-wife's attorney which resulted in unecessary complications and costs for me. When I realized there was a pattern of such behavior with him, I attempted to address this matter in his office. He responded angrily and used profanity in what seemed an attempt to intimidate me. I was stunned and very upset that my attorney, who I was paying to meet with at the time, would have the nerve to behave so unprofessionally towards me. Shortly after this experience, I requested a meeting with one of the firm's principles. After I discussed my concerns, he asked Chiero to join the meeting and apologize to me. Mr. Chiero did apologize, but I insisted that I no longer felt comfortable with him as my attorney and requested the firm's senior partner take over my case. He refused to do so which caused a serious and costly dilemma for me. I proceeded to terminate this relationship despite the difficulty and costs of retaining a new attornery/firm in the middle of my divorce. Unfortunately, my nightmare didn't end there. Over the past few years, this law firm alleged I owed them money and unsuccessfully filed multiple law suits against me. Suffice to say any trust and respect I may have had for Chiero and Rinella & Rinella was completely destroyed.

Mr. Chiero was extremely helpful and mindful of my difficult situation. He was always insightful, prepared, and successful in court. I would highly recommend Mr. Chiero to any mothers seeking legal assistance to protect their children.

Mr. Chiero clearly explained to me all of my options, rights and responsibilities related to having a child out of wedlock. His advice allowed me to avoid the court system, save money, and lessen the emotional costs of litigation. I would highly recommend Mr. Chiero to fathers or anyone needing family law advice.

Mr. Chiero was extremely patient, smart and fair. I am glad that I hired him as my lawyer. He fought for temporary support that I needed for my children, and then he negotiated a final settlement with my difficult husband. Michael always explained things to me so that I understood the divorce process and he always answered my calls. I hope that I do not need to hire him again, but I am thankful that he was my lawyer.

He has awesome knowledge and speaks very well when it comes to all things technically related to the legal system. I was always impressed as he would easily speak out to the judge, very professionally of course, without skipping a beat. However, when I submitted all the information/paperwork required, and then followed-up time and time again to see if I was missing anything or to understand the status of the case, I got nothing until the night before OR on the same day standing in the courthouse in some case. Then to hear vulgarity, that I would not expect come out when he clearly was frustrated, made me reconsider how to approach and interact with him. One thing would be said, yet another thing would be done. It was a struggle to get through my case while working with him.

Michael knows family law and I am grateful for his help. He provided outstanding representation to me and was compassionate through out the entire process. My matter involved custody issues. His court presentation of the case was what brought my case to a good conclusion that was in the best interest of my children. He did not cause extra court appearances or drag the case out to cause unnecessarily high legal fees. I have continued to use Michael for my post decree needs and would recommend him to anyone needing family law assistance.

Mr. Chiero provided me with more useful information in thirty minutes than my prior counsel provided to me in eighteen months. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and fair with his fees. Mr. Chiero's advanced skill in the courtroom resulted in an unexpected award of sole custody of my child to me. In addition to protecting me and my daughter in the courtroom, Mr. Chiero also gave me comfort and peace of mind with his calm demeanor and soothing voice. My daughter still refers to Mr. Chiero as her hero.

I would highly recommend Michael Chiero. His professionalism is remarkable with placing the upmost focus on his clients needs. He was very knowledgeable in matters of Law with what I perceived as a photographic memory of Illinois marriage and family law from his early days of education. At no point did he ever have to "I'll get back to you" with any questions i had. I never got the run around nor had to wait for questions to be answered. This gave me the upmost confidence that he could handle any situation as it arose in my case "on the fly" and without a second thought. His first goal and number one priority was to protect me and he showed this by always staying one step ahead of all potential situations that could bring harm to my case. He was pleasant to work with and always showed the upmost professional curiosities thru the entire process. He is a straight shooter and has little patiences for drama or nonsense that so often occurs in divorce cases. He is not afraid to take action when it is needed or stand up when opposing council would step out of line. He made the entire process seem simple and easy. I listened and followed his direction and my case was handled by him exactly as planned with reaching each goal to 100% satisfaction. This is the first attorney i can honesty say i have worked with that practices law based on his principals and belief in justice rather than money. His priorities in his profession make him stand out and above so many of his peers and this is rare to find these days. I would highly recommend him without hesitation.
