Caryl should hang 'me up. She was too slow on my dime. My time with her was way too long and way too expensive.

Caryl and Tim were a huge support and great to work with! Communication and responsiveness with everything was excellent from start to finish. I would highly recommend them and I truly appreciate everything that they did for me!

Caryl Jacobs Gabe was a champion for me and my daughter. Her level of expertise, knowledge of the law, research capabilities and integrity was invaluable as well as her ability to apply individual differences in various situations. She is fearless yet adds compassion during a very difficult time in people's lives. I am forever grateful that I had Ms. Gabe to help navigate me through my divorce.

Caryl and Tim are a power team! Caryl came into my divorce case halfway through. Had she not, my kids would not have had the financial protection that they have had for the past six years. When it became necessary to re-do the child support agreement, I immediately went to Caryl. She and Tim were very patient with me as I had to delay the process due to some other family issues. When it came time to move forward, we were pressed for time. They expedited the paperwork and took care of everything quickly and with 100 percent success! Caryl and Tim are a caring, helpful and dedicated team, they run a great practice. I will forever be grateful to Caryl (and I cannot express this enough), for the way she jumped in mid-divorce and made sure that my kids (who have complex medical issues), would be financially supported and properly cared for beyond the state standard because of their medical needs. Carlo is the nicest person. I came to her office completely broken and with her help was able to settle my divorce after ten years of legal battles and 5 spinal fusions I was lost. This woman is an angel. Not going to get into specific details but she took my case when no one else would. I cannot stress this enough, if you’re looking for a lawyer who treats you as a person not as a check book. Carol is what your looking for.

First let me start by saying Mrs. Gabe is a great attorney.she won our custody case concerning our grandson. Grandparent cases are very complicated in Illinois. She is smart experienced and a dedicated attorney. To us she cared about are concerns and feelings about this case.We could not be happier with our out come and we are glad that we chose her in this important and difficult case. Ms. Caryl Jacobs Gabe represented me in my Divorce in 2014. I found Ms. Gabe to have a high level of interest in her clients (I have referred several people since to Ms. Gabe who share my views). She is extremely capable and skillful in understanding, interpreting, and explaining the Law to the client. Ms. Gabe is forthright, very knowledgeable, and 'Tells it like it is", which are extremely important traits to me. I would not hesitate to contact Ms. Gabe again in the areas of domestic/family issues. And I continue to recommend her to others when I am asked.

Caryl Jacobs Gabe has been suspended at least twice for misconduct by the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois. When I interviewed her regarding my need for a divorce attorney in 2001, I asked that specific question. She replied that she had never been disciplined, let alone suspended. I hired her to represent me based, in part, upon that statement. This was a lie. She had been put on probation in March 1999, which had been the date of stay from her original suspension date of September 1998. She had violated her suspension by continuing to practice while under suspension. Her probation ran until September 2000, which was one year before I asked her if she had EVER been disciplined as an Attorney. This basic misrepresentation, reinforced by the use of a slightly different name in her BBB records, evidences a continuing pattern of lying and deception. Ms. Gabe was suspended AGAIN in 2007 for misconduct. Despite an agreed schedule for filing my divorce, she delivered the divorce papers three weeks later than the date we agreed upon. By delivering them to my ex-wife on our son's BIRTHDAY, our divorce was made much uglier that it might have been. Lastly, when my case was transferred to the Daley Center, she informed me that we did not want this judge, as the case would be long and expensive. Ms. Gabe said that she had not objected because this judge would be only the preliminary judge. This was incorrect, and my entire case lasted almost four years because Ms. Gabe failed to understand that the case had been assigned to an individual judge. This was a major failure of her understanding of the Cook County Courts process.
