Mr. Danforth graciously gave me over an hour of his time without charging me. He also spoke at length with My sister for no charge as well. He went above and beyond what any lawyer I've met with, was not pushy & didn't ask me for a dime. I unwittingly chose another lawyer and am now hoping to retain him. If you are concerned about the one star reviews, don't be. They are all within the same time frame, and seem to have the same grammar style. You can't make everyone happy, but I believe he's a solid dude and will fight for me. I'll update later to inform how things turn out.

This attorney texted me with the wrong contact information (someone else submitted my phone number) and he would not stop texting me. He accused me of wasting his time and threatened to track me down when I said he had the wrong number.

He does not return phone calls in a timely manner, will withhold documents from you until the last minute and rush you to turn them in. Does not prep you for any of the important parts of your case with good information. If you are considering this man as your attorney I will confidently say anyone is better than him.

I was told he could do everything that I was asking which was just simple family law issues. More time with my kids, and payment of bills owed. After a year I was still in the same predicament however he had over 6K of my hard earned money. He is unorganized, does not return calls and is a mess when having to speak with other opposing lawyer. I know that for a fact family law is above his qualification and time and will just bill you without having proof. He does not keep an actual file on his clients from what I saw and will ignore any and all conversations that require him to work. Stay away from this guy unless you have money to burn.

Agree to the bad reviews, he bullies, lies and Manipulates,, to police, family and should not be practicing law! If he’s a Christian,, I will give up religion. He has no idea about legal practices in other states,, has lied on Camera to Police,,, as well as other attorneys.

I hired Michael Danforth and was a huge mistake. Charged me 1400$ for just 1 month. Please look at feedback and reviews before u get a lawyer/attorney specially if you trying to see your son or daughter. Michael Danforth calls me about a month later saying can't find her to serve her paperwork and gonna be another month roughly. Had to let him go and get a lawyer with great reviews because of my mistake. Reviews do matter.

The man wouldn’t listen. Forgot court dates. He was an embarrassment. He wouldn’t communicate as to what was going on. I would not recommend this lawyer.

By far the most excellent lawyer I’ve ever delt with. He will not let you down in the courtroom. I highly recommend Michael Danforth for civil and divorce cases.

This man does not listen, I had to tell him repeatedly what I wanted and how I wished to handle my divorce case and he literally yelled at me. I wanted a simple divorce in which my ex and I had already agreed on what we were dividing but he was no help whatsoever. He was only interested in prolonging the case and charge me more money. He claims to be a Christian and his Wife to be a former pastor at Willow Creek church but doesn’t fit the profile at all. He was disrespectful and unresponsive, I would not recommend him to anyone and he should not be a trustee on the lake county board.

Michael is a highly ethical and experienced lawyer. Mike has significant legal knowledge and experience and is highly regarded by both legal professionals and in his community for his first-rate commitment and results.

He would not listen to me. For example from the first day I asked him to please request child support a year later is when he finally did, Overcharged for services that where done by opposing attorney . Filed some papers late and it cost my request to be denied and then wanted me to pay him for his error
