I couldn’t be happier. So I’m driving on a restricted driving permit with Baird device and all.. I work nights. I forgot to update my permit to reflect my new hours. I initially got pulled over for my sticker being expired. I have my ride all year and don’t check the plate sticker.. right so I get taken in and Ibond. I call Mr. Patel. I come in and ask him best to worst case scenarios. I just need to know.. I’m one of those people.. I’ve had a couple of driving while revoked before, so I’m worried. I also have a life and family I care for. Mr. Patel is very informative and listens. I actually felt like he wanted to help me and not just cash my check.. Well I obtained his service. He was able to move my court date up a whole month , which was helpful cause I couldn’t go a whole month without driving.. We go to court and CASE DISMISSED!!!!!Yeah, he did that.. I am truly disappointed in the representation by Mr. Bretz. I hired him 3 years ago for a felony matter. He agreed in writing--the Retainer Agreement--to bring the matter within 1 year. Finally, after 3-years of languishing in the court, the state dismissed the case without any input from Mr. Bretz. As a matter of fact, Mr. Bretz's total strategy was defense by 3-month continuance with the exception of a motion to dismiss that I insisted upon. It was actually a motion that I had previously prepared that Mr. Bretz merely had to copy and spruce up. Unfortunately, he did not make the hearing an evidentiary as I requested and consequently the motion was denied. Subsequent to the case dismissal, I requested in writing an itemized bill and an equal division of my bond refund. After going to his office to sign for my refund he tried to get me to agree to a refund of $5000, which I refused. A few weeks later I received from him the $5000 with no itemized statement. I am sending the check back because I am filing a lawsuit against him.
