Chris is a very experienced and knowledgeable attorney with realistic expectations to provide to his clients. He's a lawyer who knows what he's doing and won't waste your money. Chris is definitely worth hiring.

I do not recommend hiring Chris White. I am very disappointed. I had to remove my comment because he threatened to sue me.

If I could give Mary 10 stars I would. She handled my appeal after my divorce. An appeal is very hard to win. She won 5 out of 7 trial errors. She is very thorough and keeps me well informed. I will always go back to Mary for IL counsel. Also, Lisa that handles all Mary's appointments is very knowledgeable on process and requests. You will not be disappointed with this great legal team.

Chris pulled me out of the fire. My "issue" had fallen into never-ending "process" and was getting more expensive than it was worth. When I needed a new attorney I was pointed to Chris and I am quite pleased that I got that referral. Chris quickly recognized that a fast resolution could be and should be - not to mention - cheaply - accomplished. He did just that.

Chris White is an extraordinary attorney. My ex is an attorney and a vexatious litigant. Throughout my long and acrimonious pre and post divorce matters, Chris has always taken the high road. His ethics are unquestionable and he is a man of his word. He is rational and wants to find resolution in the most efficient way. He never pulls punches and tells me like it is. His goal is to stay on track and avoids wasting time and money. When we go to trial, Chris does his homework and makes sure he is familiar with all the facts in my case, has great knowledge of the law, remains calm, and uses his words wisely. He champions my cause and I know that he is on my side. Chris has counseled me through frivolous and harassing motions and negotiations , an appeal to the Illinois Appellate Court, an appeal to the Illinos Supreme Court, and subsequent trial which have all been victorious. I would highly recommend Chris White to anybody looking for exceptional, rational counsel during a highly emotionally charged time. He is knowledgeable, confident, calm, humble, smart, honest and compassionate. I am not the only one who feels this way. After we won a recent motion, my ex told me that my attorney is very, very good.

Chris is exceptional. I had a complicated case that lasted for 15 months total. I had a different attorney for the first 13 months, at which point Chris took over. After Chris took on the case, it went from being 'nowhere near completion', to full settlement (parenting agreement and financial settlement) within 2 months. Chris is expensive per hour, but is well worth it, due to his efficiency and skill. He was phenomenal at understanding the intricacies of the case, and finding a reasonable solution for both sides. He is highly respected by opposing counsel and by the judge, which helps in negotiation discussions. In addition, Chris is respected as one of the best appeals attorneys in Lake County, which gives him extra leverage, as the judge will think twice before making a decision that could be viewed as incorrect. Finally, Chris is a good guy, despite his chosen profession as a lawyer, which might be the most important point in this overly verbose review. Chris, thank you for your help.

Chris has been great. Family court sucks; there are times that the answers you get are unfair and infuriating. However, your lawyer’s job is to help you navigate the lunacy and be your firm advocate, but also give you the real facts (even if you don’t want to hear it) as soon as possible so you can create a good plan. We trust Chris and know he has our best interests at heart and that is the most important thing in our mind.

My divorce process started about 5 years ago when my then husband filed for divorce. I was scared, heart broken and lost. A friend recommended Chris White and it was the best decision I made during this process. Chris was kind, yet tough, with both me and my ex-husband. He always returned my calls promptly...even the crazy ones! My ex-husband burned through 4 lawyers in 4 years and so I witnessed that Chris was able to negotiate with anyone to get things done. He helped manage my settlement, the sale of my home and continues to this day to give me solid advice and counsel. He was always fair with his time and his billing and I consider him a friend. The only thing left to say about Chris is my ex husband HATES him and I think gave him the only 1 star review he has...that really says it all!
