I’m not from the area, but I was traveling across Interstate 80 in 2014, on my way to the West Coast, when I caught my first and only DUI, in Henry County Illinois.(BEWARE of Prosecutor Elvira) I’ve never experienced a more miserable and depressing time in my life than dealing with the court system there. 4 years from start to finish. Too much to go into detail as I’m not reviewing Henry County, but it’s important to understand how bad the situation was. Initially I hired an attorney and he failed me miserably. I was stuck with a felony offense and faced the wrath of Henry County’s prosecutor that literally wanted me crucified. I must of paid around $15k for everything. I got into a little trouble at home and Henry County was seeking to revoke my probation after I had nearly completed 2.5 years of it. I contacted Mr. Hanna as a last effort to save my life before it all came crashing down. Needless to say I was worried about the outcome. Mr. Hanna made no promises, but on the day of court what potentially could of been a disaster turned into a best case scenario. After 4 very long years I was released from the strangle hold of Henry County. If you have a DUI, don’t waste time or money on cheap solicitors. Hire Mr. Hanna and you’ll be grateful that you did! You’re going to wish you had him in your corner!

Contacted the law office concerning a ticket for my son - we live out of town. The admin support personnel knew exactly what to do. In speaking with the attorney, they knew exactly what to do. The case was taken to the judge the next day. The ticket was changed from a conviction on his record to supervision. The office staff and the attorney was exceptionally professional and courteous. I would not hesitate to contact again if needed.

I was charged with a DUI in Rock Island. I hired Jon Ruud and he was a great attorney. He showed me the video, told me exactly where to get an evaluation, and communicated with me throughout the process. I like the way he involved me in the decision-making and clearly explained the best options to me. Ultimately, I was found not guilty and I attribute most of that to his skills in the courtroom. He left no options out and was an excellent negotiator and litigator. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was charged with a DUI even after I passed all sobriety tests. Attorney Ruud took my case all the way to trial and all charges were dismissed and saved me from losing my license! This lawyer rocks!

I was charged with a felony in Henry County and Jonathan got it dismissed because the cop had no reason to pull me over!

We had this attorney for a DUI for 2008/2009 and he took over for Steve Hanna. They both did not do what they said they could do. I am still trying to get my license back. I paid lots of money and the job wasn't done. I have tried to reach both attorneys and still haven't gotton a call back.

Jon exceeded my expectations. I was guilty as could be, but somehow he had my charges dismissed. I avoided a conviction, jail and a fine. He was professional and returned my all my calls promptly. I would not hire anyone but him if I were charged with a crime.
