I had consulted with several divorce attorneys, and I finally was referred by a friend to John Fay. John Fay explained everything in a way that I understood and in a way that put me at ease. His extreme wealth of knowledge was very valuable and he was a trusted advisor throughout the process. There were some twists and turns throughout the journey, and John Fay navigated through the changes in a calm matter while always pushing things forward. My case seemed like it should be very simple, but it turned out to be unique and at times complicated. John always responded in a timely fashion. It was amazing to see at the end how he and his staff moved at lightning speed to finalize the divorce before the end of the year – truly amazing! I was referred to John Fay after I was blindsided by my husband filing for divorce. After my initial consultation with John I knew he was the attorney I wanted representing me. I was an absolute emotional wreck and John had no problem with my brother accompanying me during our appointments - which meant the world to me! Although my trust level was very low, I trusted John and never doubted he would do all he could for me. John was diligent in exceeding my expectations. By no fault of John’s my divorce dragged on for over two years. He never gave up and was persistent in making sure no stone was left unturned. In the end I got much more than expected. I met with John Fay as because my husband of 36 years requested a divorce. Need less to say, I was shocked. In spite of my emotions, I needed to obtain legal counsel. Divorce is complicated. John and his staff were very patient and supportive throughout the whole process. My divorce was challenging and there were many roadblocks thrown at me by opposing counsel. Although it is very expemnsive, John did his best to keep costs down. I was surprised because I had heard from many friends that attorney's do whatever they can to get money. This was absolutely not the case with John. Near the end of my divorce, a lot of negotiating occurred. John was very responsive to my concerns, questions, and anxiety. I highly recommend John Fay but hope that you never have to go through a divorce. The whole process is brutal!
