As a follow up to my previous post, I am happy to report the company contacted me and refunded my consultation fee. They also stated they updated their website to state they do not administer estates in Iowa. I appreciate the follow up and resolution. PREVIOUS POST: Their website states they do Estate Administration. I reached out to them to discuss probating an estate. I paid $198 for a consultation. During the beginning of the consultation, I asked if they would apply the consultation fee to the legal fees if I hired them to probate the estate for me. I was told they do not administer estates. We spoke less than 15 minutes. I conveyed my dissatisfaction of being assessed the fee and said I would not have paid for a consultation if they could not help me. Their website provided inaccurate information about the services they provide. Heather Jones, the attorney I spoke to told me it was an error on the website. She would refund half of the consultation fee and get the website fixed. I have never received a refund and the website still states they administer estates. I would not recommend or trust this company.

I called to schedule a consultation and was instructed to call back with a payment for it. I tried calling back 3 times and nobody responded to my messages. My phone consult time came and went nobody called us. Three days later I received a bill for it. I immediately called the office and the reception was extremely rude talking over me didn't like that I said if they have 5 people working the phones, it should have been answered or the call returned then refused me service and hung up on me! Stay as far away from them as possible!

Andrew!! This law firm has been very good to me. Andrew specifically helped me with a eviction case. He knows the law and treated me extremely well. I appreciate the time he took at no charge as well. Highly recommend!

The outcome of my conversation with James Dickinson was much more positive than originally expected. He listened and gave me a feeling that I was hiring the right person and law firm.

We hired O’Flaherty after they told us they could help us with an eviction case. Squatters in our home for over 4 months, pretty simple case. They demanded a retainer which we paid. They then drained as much as possible in that retainer yet did ABSOLUTELY nothing. They showed up to court, did not introduce themselves to me, did not speak to me at any point and the judge sided with the squatter. When I found a new lawyer they “filed papers” constantly and were always asking things they already knew answers to just so they could drain more of the retainer. After speaking with several other lawyers now, I can very clearly see that this law office is full of scam artists. Do yourself a favor and find any other lawyer!

My experience was negative with Atty Heather Jones. I did not have access to speak with her on the phone, had numerous charges that were questionable and not from any value add work, and frequently learned of things happening only after the fact. I switched attys and am much happier. Would not recommend.

Horrible experience. They just ran up the billable hours while not fulfilling my requests. They sent important information via an old email address which I had told them month prior I did not want then to use. Then they withdrew from the case because I failed to respond. Do not waste your time and definitely not your money dealing with these crooks. I plan to file a complaint with the Bar association.

One person mentioned to run from this company. Several people mentioned that they seem to be just after your money. And I totally agree with all. Let me add my family experience. My Daughter, Dr. M.L.Williams hired them to either get custody or visitation rights for her nephew. Because his mother admitted it and all of my family knew that he would be better off with my daughter. But the mother changed her mind after she knew she couldn't keep getting the finances for the child while my daughter had custody. So, the company insured my daughter could win at least visitation rights if not custody. After the case dragged on and my daughter was out of thousands and thousands of dollars we finally went to court with no attorney because she couldn't afford it anymore. And to our surprise the judge told my daughter that there was no way she could win visitation rights or custody with the evidence she presented. 🤔So, why did the law firm tell my daughter otherwise when she first contacted them? Money, Money, Money!!!

Only reason I’m giving these guys a single star is it’s not possible to give less.!! Based on my observations alone, RUN! Don’t walk away from them. IMHO a person could receive better representation from a an adolescent monkey or flying insect. IItIppears to me that taking money, disregarding Communications requests, Changing internal Attorneys multiple times, provide limited forward movement, refusing to communicate a cohesive plan and eventually recommending settling or folding vs standing up for clients is standard practice occasionally. Only thing they seem to really accomplish is billing clients regularly. The statements are solely mine, based on my observations and in no way constitute legal advice or business advice. Everyone should thoroughly investigate any law firm prior to hiring or retaining them to represent you.

Law firm took $1.2k of my money, did nothing and wanted more money after I asked how much to pay for the retainer. The response back was, my situation was more complex than they originally thought. Since then I paid $300 and took care of the situation myself. Beware of this law firm!!
