I hired Michael off a mutual friend referral of someone who hadn’t used him as a divorce lawyer but weee friends. He started out to seem to have my best interest but after a couple of months I felt had his own money making agenda. My legal fees were beyond what they should’ve been and in the end I was still married and zero was done for me in my case and no protection. He was also unethical several times and apparently has a reputation for going crazy w fees according to other divorce lawyers and I asked many many after my experience. He wasn’t willing to negotiate and knew my financial hardship being s single mother. Living in a small community I would think he would’ve done right in the end but nope he didn’t. Good luck as I am very involved on social media and would never ever recommend this man to represent anyone. He has a not good reputation with other divorce attorneys as well. Wish I would’ve known and researched.

Divorce is never easy and the process often does not make sense. What helps is having a lawyer who understands the law, is always prepared and gives you an honest opinion directing your actions based on what the law allows. Michael is such an attorney. My case was lengthy and concluded with a trial that took several months before the ruling was issued. I first procured the services of Michael based on glowing referrals from two family members who also used his services for their divorces. He is a straight-forward, no nonsense professional that hits the gates running from the onset of the case and doesn't slow down. He is very thorough and attentive through-out the whole process. He communicates well and is always available by phone or email. I recently had to revisit the terms of a completed divorce (where MD represented me) and the thought of hiring a different lawyer never crossed my mind. Michael Doman represented me in my divorce. Though this experience was very difficult, trying and exhausting Doman provided an excellent synopsis in my early conference with him. An expert is someone who can explain a difficult subject and process with ease and Michael did so to me. Michael completely understood opposing counsel and their approach and stayed on point while opposing law firms changed. In fact, Michael was all over opposing counsel attempting to lengthen procedures practically every step of the way. Michael crafted and articulated an uncanny, successful strategy. His greatest asset his personal time seemed always available and his return call policy was expedient. One appreciates Michael's honesty, integrity and high level of professionalism unlike many others in the Cook County system. He fought for me with complete devotion.
