When I started my search in January of 2021 for an attorney I came across Mary's picture online.I was drawn to her and hired her.She truly was an angel to me. If you are in need of a divorce attorney, it's important to find someone who is knowledgeable, experienced, and compassionate and who is willing to advocate for you. Having gone through a marathon divorce (just 3 months short of 5 years), I can say that it's a difficult and emotional process, but having the right attorney made all the difference for me. I had the pleasure of working with Mary Davis, an excellent divorce attorney based in the suburbs, even though my case was in Chicago. I had been told I needed a big firm lawyer. By the time I walked into Mary’s office, almost four years in, I had been through five previous law firms! As a primary care-giving spouse, I was in need of a lawyer who could help me understand my ex’s businesses and partnerships finances. I had no understanding of disbursements, business tax returns, or valuations. I was in way over my head! From the moment I met Mary, I knew she was the right fit for me. She was warm and friendly while also being professional and knowledgeable. Mary took the time to listen to my story and understand my goals for the divorce. Throughout the process, she was always available to answer my questions and provide guidance. She was never annoyed by my close attention to my case, like other attorneys I had hired.
