To say that Denise Erlich is AWESOME is an understatement! From beginning to POST divorce Denise was ALWAYS responsive and helpful. She showed empathy throughout the whole process. She was simply amazing. My process was truly a difficult one as I battled caring for my Dad with cancer whilst dealing with the divorce. Denise was able to complete the entire divorce process without me ONCE having to appear before the judge in an over a year and a half process. I was VERY pleased with the outcome. Summarizing my experience with Denise into a single review is nearly an impossible task considering everything she helped me with throughout my divorce. I can say without a doubt in my mind that she is one of the best divorce lawyers in Will county and the most caring attorney you’ll likely ever come across. Denise would respond to my messages at all hours of the day and always made herself available to talk whenever needed. From early morning messages to late night phone calls or emails, she was dedicated to helping no matter the time. Even when she was sick with Covid, she still managed to win a big hearing (via Zoom) and stayed in touch with me despite being under the weather. While there are no “winners” in divorce cases, Denise ran the table and “won” every single contested issue in our case, which is pretty incredible given the sheer number of matters. We walked away from every court hearing with everything we asked for in our petitions. You can find other attorneys who are louder and make more noise (inside and outside of the courtroom), but Denise is a purebred winner. What I appreciate most about Denise is she provided me with reasonable, honest and fair feedback. While the opposing counsel in my case did everything she could to stir the pot and create unnecessary drama, Denise did everything within her power to minimize the trivial distractions and regrettable behaviors by the opposing party and their extremely litigious lawyer. My case unfortunately involved a contentious custody battle that required a GAL (luckily we got the best one in Will county thanks to Denise’s recommendation). From being faced with false allegations, isolation/alienation from my kids and a laundry list of other issues, Denise gave me helpful guidance every step of the way. She provided the necessary legal advice while also being practical and realistic. Instead of trying to make empty promises or tell me what I wanted to hear, she was always completely upfront and honest. If she set an expectation with me or made a prediction on a likely outcome, she was usually spot on. In every case, she actually exceeded any expectations that she set with me and overdelivered. Denise not only understands the court system in Will county inside and out, but she is highly respected by the judges and GALs. Her words hold weight and credibility, which says a lot about who she is and how she operates. You can trust you’ll be in good hands with her. At the very beginning of my case, I told Denise my top 3 priorities, and I’m happy to say she delivered on every one of them. In fact, the final terms of my global settlement far exceeded expectations thanks to Denise and her strategic guidance. Denise was my fourth (4th) and final attorney in my contentious divorce case. I have been working with Denise for over a year thus far and I have to admit she is super sharp, professional, quick to respond, and ethical. I could write a book about what this law firm has done for my 7 and 4 year old children. If it wasn't for this law firm, not only would I not have had full custody of my children and most of my parenting time, but I would have never seen my children again for the rest of my life. If you've read this far, I encourage you to read the rest of my essential reviews of this law firm. You have undoubtedly come to the right place if you need an attorney for your divorce case. I interviewed more than 25 lawyers in Chicagoland. Most of them I paid for an hour of consultation, $300-$425 to each attorney, to provide in-depth background about my case. The first 3 lawyers I hired were good at begging (first 3 months), but they quickly formed a private relationship with the GAL and didn't fight for my children's and my rights, or the GAL did something to paralyze the attorneys so they no longer interested in working on my case as they did at the beginning. Denise witnessed and had to deal with that vicious, most immoral, child murderer GAL assigned to my case. Denise stood her ground against the GAL and fought for me every single day for almost a year. Denise was very prompt and was in constant contact with me via email or phone to provide me with the comfort I needed and advise me on the proper way to resolve existing and unforeseen issues. Denise takes responsibility for a case very seriously. On several occasions throughout my case, I had witness Denise work at 3:00am and just before dawn to ensure that my rights as a father were protected from harm. Denise is no ordinary attorney. She truly cares deeply about her clients as human beings and goes out of her way to keep your children safe from evil. She did it for me from start to finish and she still attends to my case as necessary even though my divorce is final. Denise is more than an attorney -- she is an angel of the universe who saved my children's lives. Thanks to the first three attorneys I hired, my divorce case went on for over two years with NO outcome or resolution - and ONLY thanks to Denise, my case was finalized for the sake of my children and their well-being.
