I feel so lucky that I found Denise. From the complimentary consultation (which lasted an hour), I knew I found the right attorney for my situation. She gave me a to do list of what to do prior to filing. When the time came, Denise was immediately by my side listening to me, guiding me, coaching me, and sometimes, even talking me down from the ledge. She responded to an email I sent at 11pm on a Saturday night. I was blown away by her quick response! She is excellent with high conflict individuals, and she thought of everything to protect me and my kids. Even though my ex-husband utilized two divorce attorneys simultaneously, I felt that Denise was far better than his two combined! My divorce was final within six months, and I never had to appear in front of the judge. In fact, all my interactions with Denise were through zoom, phone and email. Please consider Erlich Law. Denise is a great family law attorney. I found myself in an unfamiliar, hostile situation that I never intended to be in, in life. A situation many more men will find themselves in, unfortunately. Denise and the Erlich Law team were the snipers I needed them to be in a very dirty fight for my daughter. As long as you do your part - being disciplined, practical, attentive to detail and thoughtful - Erlich Law is more than capable of executing the rest. False order of protection filed? Didn't matter. Countless other lies in pre-trial memo's, day-to-day communications? Didn't matter. Attempting to create a false narrative for the GAL? Didn't matter. In addition to her courtroom acumen, Denise is extremely relatable, patient and above all, available! I've never been here before, so needless to say I had many questions. I was anxious over strategy, over not having seen my daughter, over how the x-factors of the case would play out. Denise was always responsive and attentive. I'd get emails as late as 10 & 11 pm, answering questions (in detail), spelling out game plans, etc. The Erlich Law office team - Tammy, Carleen, and others who I may not be able to name - are all likewise, available, relatable, patient and professional. Not enough good things can be said about my experience. I'm just beyond grateful that I can be a present and available father on a regular basis. To say that Denise Erlich is AWESOME is an understatement! From beginning to POST divorce Denise was ALWAYS responsive and helpful. She showed empathy throughout the whole process. She was simply amazing. My process was truly a difficult one as I battled caring for my Dad with cancer whilst dealing with the divorce. Summarizing my experience with Denise into a single review is nearly an impossible task considering everything she helped me with throughout my divorce. I can say without a doubt in my mind that she is one of the best divorce lawyers in Will county and the most caring attorney you’ll likely ever come across. Denise would respond to my messages at all hours of the day and always made herself available to talk whenever needed. From early morning messages to late night phone calls or emails, she was dedicated to helping no matter the time. Even when she was sick with Covid, she still managed to win a big hearing (via Zoom) and stayed in touch with me despite being under the weather. While there are no “winners” in divorce cases, Denise ran the table and “won” every single contested issue in our case, which is pretty incredible given the sheer number of matters. We walked away from every court hearing with everything we asked for in our petitions. You can find other attorneys who are louder and make more noise (inside and outside of the courtroom), but Denise is a purebred winner. What I appreciate most about Denise is she provided me with reasonable, honest and fair feedback. While the opposing counsel in my case did everything she could to stir the pot and create unnecessary drama, Denise did everything within her power to minimize the trivial distractions and regrettable behaviors by the opposing party and their extremely litigious lawyer. My case unfortunately involved a contentious custody battle that required a GAL (luckily we got the best one in Will county thanks to Denise’s recommendation). From being faced with false allegations, isolation/alienation from my kids and a laundry list of other issues, Denise gave me helpful guidance every step of the way. She provided the necessary legal advice while also being practical and realistic. Instead of trying to make empty promises or tell me what I wanted to hear, she was always completely upfront and honest. If she set an expectation with me or made a prediction on a likely outcome, she was usually spot on. In every case, she actually exceeded any expectations that she set with me and overdelivered.
