If we could give Michael Biederstadt 100 stars for his excellent legal skills and services, we would. Five will have to do here for him and everyone else in his law practice. Attorney Biederstadt helped us covert our family finances into trusts that will protect our life’s wealth for our children and save them considerably in legal costs and taxes. This was all done at an affordable cost. Along the way, the Biderstadt Law Firm helped educate us about crucial issues in family law, death taxes and estate planning that everyone should know. The most important thing we learned is that even if you have a will, your estate will go through Probate Court, which in Illinois could tie up the estate in court for a year or two, incurring all sorts of attorney’s and other fees along the way. Only a trust can keep your estate out of Probate Court. The Biederstadt Law Firm also provided so many extra services, including a comprehensive, personalized portfolio that includes all essential documents organized in one convenient place. In addition, we were encouraged and enabled to include personal letters, future guidance and video messages to our children in our portfolio, which are advisable, meaningful and fun to do.

Michael Biederstadt is the best lawyer I could have asked for. He’s reasonable, doesn’t BS you and he seemed to really have my best interest at heart. I hired him after another lawyer recommended him. I had been stuck in and out of family court for years, and Michael came on and worked hard to get it out of court and fought for a judgment that was more fair to me as the previous judgment was unreasonable (which led to being brought back to court so much). Michael genuinely cared to help me in my situation and really went to bat for me. I could not have asked for a better attorney to help me through my divorce. It didn't matter what was thrown at him from opposing counsel, he always showed grace under fire. He was flexible, available and direct with me from start to finish and I could not be more appreciative. When I asked another divorce attorney in a different county for a referral, she said "If you want the best, call Michael Biederstadt" and thankfully I did.

As I went through and recycled stack upon stack of my divorce documents, knowing that was just a very small percentage of all the files and papers that went through the Court over the past five and half years for my case, I reflected on how LUCKY I was to have had Mr. Biederstadt represent me. If it weren't for Mr. Biederstadt's professional ability, integrity, and decency, my children and I would still be entangled in a nightmarish situation that never seem to end. It was no small feat to get away from a malignant narcissist who viewed and treated us as his property. My ex-husband had such an extreme case of self-importance that, for a simple divorce case, he subjected us to numerous court hearings, countless paperwork, 9 days of trial, and 2 years of appeals. I wish that such an experience with my divorce never happened, but as it did, I am extremely thankful that by sheer luck or divine intervention that Mr. Biederstadt took my case and saw it through. Not only the large volume of legal work Mr. Biederstadt did was remarkable, but he has also taken the blunt of all the vicious personal insults, shielding my children and I from the worst of the confrontations. He enabled us to walk away whole and start anew. I am, and always will be, ETERNALLY GRATEFUL that Mr. Biederstadt was my attorney.

I have nothing but good things to say about having him respresent me during my litigation. He is very knowledgeable about the law, communicates well and is very organized. At the end of my case, I was fully satisfied and grateful to have him represent me in court.

Unfortunately I did not find Mr. Biederstadt when I first filed for divorce. I truly believe I would have had a faster, less excruciating process. Mr. Biederstadt helped me finalize some ongoing custody issues. Although I didn't get the entire outcome I had hoped for (by no fault of his, I just came to him too late in the game.) I truly believe that Michael did everything possible to get me the best outcome given my unique situation. Mr. Biederstadt always was available and attentive. Finding a divorce lawyer isn't hard, but finding one like Mike is. He's as good a lawyer as you'll find, extremely diligent and honest and just as importantly is a really good guy. I have interviewed numerous lawyers, hired one I thought was going to be like Mike (she wasn't) and was eventually forced to represent myself Pro-Se due to financial difficulties. Michael joined my case almost a year into it. I had been interviewing attorneys and everyone was sooooo expensive and wouldn't take my case without a lump sum of the retainer, which I didn't have available all at once. I was being bullied constantly by my ex-husband and his 'missing some screws' attorney. I was going into severe depression, wanted to actually hurt myself. I had given up on attorneys, all the fakeness and crap that comes out of most of their mouths made me feel hopeless. As I was continuously being bullied from my ex-husband life seemed like hell, I didn't see a way out of it at all. Michael is an extremely knowledgeable family attorney. He was hired to assist me in a custody battle after the first attorney was not handling the case correctly. Hiring Michael was the best decision I made, as to his extreme knowledge and obvious experience in family law, he was able to turn the case around and provided me with the custody.
