I have used Keith on numerous cases and have always been very pleased. He understands his clients needs and was always available to answer any questions I had. He is always willing to spend the time that is needed to achieve the results of his clients. He is realistic, open, and a lawyer that you want on your side. He does not shy away from putting forth the time needed to win a case. I would recommend him to anyone in the public safety industry.

Keith Karlson represented me in a Title VII discrimination case. He is probably the most talented litigator I have ever met, and I have known many lawyers in my police career. Keith kept me well informed, explained everything, and worked diligently to bring my case to completion. I would recommend Keith Karlson to anyone who has an employment law case. He and his partner, Richard Reimer, put the interests of the client first. Great team, Reimer and Karlson. Since my case settled I have referred others to them because of their experience and ability.

Our union has used Keith in two police discipline cases (neither one was my own) and in both cases I was impressed by the knowledge and preparation demonstrated at hearings before the Illinois Labor board and BOFPC. Keith walks you through every step of every hearing so you're not blind-sighted. In both cases, the hearings went in the employee's favor. In the first case, the employee was returned to work after the chief sought dismissal. In the most recent case, the job was awarded back to the employee after they were fired. Employee was also awarded back pay and restored to their proper seniority ranking. If I was fighting for my job I wouldn't trust my career to anyone else. Chiefs and city managers will not divulge their improper actions/decisions unless they are creatively pressed to do so. Keith has a way to extract the truth from the most unwilling smug department heads.
