Selecting Mr. McNerney to represent me in a traffic defense case was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Not only is he an outstanding and deeply experienced attorney but he is also a sincere and empathetic person. I had many questions about my case leading up to the trial date and he patiently and thoroughly answered each one while at the same time keeping me positive and confident about the case. At the trial he represented me with the utmost skill and professionalism, and even after a positive outcome at the trial he called me to follow up and see if I had any further questions or concerns. In addition, it’s clear that he is very well known and respected at the District 5 courthouse, and he is very familiar with the procedures and personnel there. I contacted Joe McNerney last Summer to help me with a speeding ticket in Oak Lawn, IL which required a court appearance. With Joe's help and his many years of experience, my case was dismissed by the judge under court supervision. I highly recommend Joe's representation for any traffic violation cases! I contacted 3 different law offices and Joe was the only one who answered the phone and was available to do a consultation right then and there over the phone. Other offices either didn't answer or had a receptionist who would take a message. I was ticked for speeding 35mph+ over the limit. Joe was very helpful and answered any possible questions I had about my case. Less than an hour after I hung up, he was already looking up my record and case file. He gave me his cellphone, e-mail and responded by email/text almost immediately. His office is near the Bridgeview courthouse and he seemed friendly/familiar with everyone at the courthouse (prosecutor, judge, other lawyers) which I believe is a big plus. He was able to get me the best possible outcome on my case and it was very simple, straight-forward and stress-free. He did not seem rushed to get in/out and even walked me down to the cashier and showed me how to look-up my personal record. I am an international student and unfortunately was given a court date for a traffic error. Joe came through for me on a last minutes notice. I had an accident related ticket that I felt I did not deserve. I was debating on hiring an attorney or not. When i did finally make that desicion I had less than 24 hours before my court date. Joe pulled through with his own personal touch of a miracle. He was very fair and number one goal was to "Keep me out of the "crosshairs". He did much more than that and performed a miracle. Joe is the definition of a professional. I've had quite a few attorneys in my days. I've never had someone care or perform anywhere near as well as Joe, He turned my "minor" case that had complete potential to become a major case back into a minor case with minor consequences . I still had consequences for my actions but he did make sure that they were fair and just if not more than fair . He also was fair on his fees, not greedy at all. He listened to what I needed and what I wanted and tried the best for my needs and wants while still keeping me out of the "crosshairs," I would recommend Joe to any of my friends or family and that says a lot considering my lack of trust especially with someone I'm paying and did not know him.
