Maxine is truly an awesome attorney. I was referred to her by a past client of hers. She listens and gets back to you in a timely manner. I was undecided when I first approached her about getting a divorce and I went back and forth a few times in my decision, but she stayed by me and never got annoyed. She was always honest and fair which is hard to come by these days. Most people have a pre conceived notion that attorneys are "liars" or "crooks." For me Maxine proved that this is not the case. She is a hard worker and her work ethic and client relation skills are on point. She will always give you an option A, B, or C and explain the pros and cons of each choice. As her client she stands by you and looks out for you no matter how big or small your case is. She was so helpful to me during my divorce process. Going through my divorce was, obviously, a very tough time for me, but through Maxine's guidance I discovered that a person needs to stand up for themselves. She made me feel so empowered in filing for divorce. I can't believe there are women out in the world that stay in marriages just because they feel there's no out... There is always an out. Maxine made me realize that no one can bully me. I always felt "in the loop" and truly enjoyed being copied on emails which allowed me the opportunity to be involved in what was going on in my case and staying up to date with the divorce proceedings. Divorce is stressful emotionally, it shouldn't have to be stressful legally. When you have a true knowledgable professional in your corner who is fearless in defending you and puts your best interests first your divorce case will run seamlessly! Truly a wonderful attorney. I wish there were more "Maxine's" in the world of law!

Going through a divorce, especially with children, is a difficult and confusing process. Maxine and Justin were very professional, compassionate, and patient while helping me. Maxine listened to me when I did know what I wanted and helped me through the aspects of the law with which I wasn't familiar. She was very knowledgeable and her experience showed. Justin was very friendly and capable. I appreciated that they responded to emails or phone calls in a timely manner and made me feel comfortable during a very difficult time. I will say that I am pleased that I found Maxine, she is wonderful and she was kind and always answered my questions, she is a good listener and she works well with the states attorney and other lawyers, I live in Phoenix but she took my case and I got the results that I was looking for. I went to her for a collaborative divorce (which I know she would have been great at), but my wife would not play ball at all, so it went to litigation. We started trial but ultimately settled in what felt like my favor. Maxine was professional with the other attorney, liked by the judges, and ruled the courtroom. Maxine has 4 excellent qualities: 1. she can skillfully present and argue a case 2. she listens--to me, the Judge, the other lawyer. Why court is in session she holds the floor because she hears everything and responds accordingly 3. she cares and is client-oriented--she is attentive to my priorities and my budget, and acts with these two things in mind. She was both my second lawyer on a protracted divorce settlement, and, now my post-decree lawyer. The difference I have in priorities is reflected the way she represents me--highly appropriate to each situation. 4. She is up-and-coming and very well networked and liked. Maxine works for a large firm, and quite a few Judges and a lot of the legal Big Boys in Cook County not only know her, they respect her. I've watched senior lawyers praise her for her ability to listen, get to the heart of the matter, and reach an agreement. Both Judges I have seen her with listen to her sharp, smart words with open ears. Thanks to Maxine, the Judge now sees what's happening in this case, instead of being drowned out by legal statutes and other chatter. Rulings post-decree with Max have all been in my favor!
