I had a complaint arise recently that involved a Protection Order wrongly sought against me by a neighbor of mine. While I could have appeared on my own and represented myself as my neighbor did, I thought quite differently. I'm not a qualified attorney. My late-dad was a Peoria attorney for some 45 years. I desired bright, competent and aggressive Counsel who had keen ability much like my dad to cut thru the smoke and mirrors and attack the core issues on my behalf. I'm very happy to report that Mr. Lonergan did exactly that. After an hour-long hearing on the matter, the judge ruled in my favor and the Order was dismissed. Legal proceedings can be difficult and very emotional which is one reason that we wanted someone well educated, honest, and above reproach. We had no surprises during the court proceedings and felt that our representation in court was exemplary. I hope that we never need an attorney again but if so, I feel very secure and would place my trust and confidence in Caryn once again.
