I was in a car accident in December of 2022 - other driver was at fault. I hired Christine Keys in January to represent me. She and Carla Morehead were repeatedly late on communication. They never answered all of my questions. They couldn't even get me an offer from Geico. I asked them to clarify things with Geico - I think it pissed her off. She dropped me out of the blue. Its been a year. She may have just screwed me completely out of a settlement. If that is the case, I fully intend to sue her for ineffective counsel. Edit: GEICO is now offering me less money than when I first met Christine. Good attorney work! I will be filing a formal complaint with the state bar. The company has responded to this thread saying they want me to reach out. They have my contact email. Please email me if you actually want to make this right.

After more than 10+ years of my family and I working with and trusting this law firm, having my own corporate counsel in-house for the last 6 years being under direct supervision of lawyers in corporate business, this firm can no longer be trusted and maliciously violated attorney client privilege, stole my retainer by double billing and then tortuously interfered with my cases and subverted my efforts. Rock Island lawyers have long been alleged to be part of an organized criminal syndicate of racketeering influenced corrupt organizations. Rock Island always has and always will be a mafia town and this firm has had past dealing with the chicago mafia syndicate. Steer clear. Trust me.

The lawyer I talked with seemed uncaring right of the bat which was the first red flag. He was beyond rude and a bit cruel during our conversation. He laughed at my situation, said I didn't know how to read a lease agreement and insinuated I wasn't smart enough to understand it yet refused to look at it so I can prove X information provided. His attitude here didn't make sense as I was telling what was written in the lease but he waved it off as no way it could be in there but he also didn't want to see it. Which doesn't make sense.. It was like he didn't want to be wrong so wanted to steer clear of anything that could prove him wrong. The lease stuff was only a tiny part of the situation. He ignored most of what I said and some things he said were just off the wall. The guy is absolutely out of touch with reality and the conversation made it seem like he looks down on anyone not in his "class". The place was just awful and I cannot recommend them. The receptionist was rude off the bat too but hey, maybe she just hates her job. Maybe this guy was just having a bad day, but bad day or not, you do not treat someone poorly. There is no reason for it. This firm gained nothing with this guy's attitude but they did lose a potential client. We found another firm that has been great and everyone has been very friendly. Easy choice on who we decide to go with.
