I definitely enjoy communicating with the staff... However I'm highly disappointed in the length that my case is being dragged out for my children.. will be updating as progress continues

I recommend Shreiber law to everyone. They are honest about the information and work hard for all their clients.

Horrible service and representation or lack there of. I went to her in April it’s now August and there are absolutely no results! She will take your money and promise a lot but nothing ever happens. I fired her today but I bet she holds on to the money that she owes me. Buyer beware! I can tell you if you call she will never call you back, she will not listen to the facts only what she wants to hear and she will talk to her own clients like they are garbage if you attempt to stick up for yourself or add any important information. There are good attorneys in Rockford but she’s not one of them. Thanks for nothing Laura!

Laura and her staff have been so helpful with my case. Any questions I’ve had, they have answered perfectly and made sure I understood every step of the process. I highly recommend Laura and her staff!

An attorney truly dedicated to their clients. The staff is very friendly which takes away from the stress related to the need for a Family attorney. I didn't go through with the whole process but that's on my end. Regardless, I recommend this place based on my pleasant experience and a great communication between the practice, my husband and me.

I hired Mrs. Hunt in April - I spoke with her twice since then in person, all other communications about my case were done poorly through her staff. I have a lot of knowledge of Winnebago County Courts and the attorneys, my suggestion is to do as much research as possible on picking an attorney, While she is very smart in knowing family law and reading people. Mrs, Hunt is overwhelmed with to many cases. I believe she has too much on her plate to properly represent a client. She relies heavily on her staff to handle her cases, and there is an extreme breakdown in communication. I called multiple times to get updates and find out where things were heading, only to be ignored or pushed aside. I hired her firm to take care of things for me, I had to give documents and evidence multiple times throughout the months, and explain things over and over again to her staff. Just before a very important trial date, I contacted Mrs. Hunt's office to discuss what was going to happen that day and to make sure she had everything she needed. I was told I couldn't talk to her and needed to make an appointment. They could get me in, in July - two months after my trial date. I had to go down to her office to get answers. Expect to sit and wait for her to address your case with a judge during status hearings as well. Many times I sat there for 2 hours waiting on her, as she would be going back and forth between judges. I minister to people going through divorce, so my issues with Mrs. Hunt aren't just my own experiences but as a whole from hearing other stories. So again my suggestion, find another lawyer, she's to busy to give your case the attention it needs when dealing with family matters, which is the upmost importance.

I can attest that Laura is a top attorney in the Rockford area, and she fights for the safety and well-being of every child. She fought aggressively to get full custody of my wife's son in a matter of months, where other lawyers in town let it drag out for 9 years. Highly recommended.
I see some 1 stars here, and it looks like Laura has made some opinionated enemies, most likely the deservedly 'losing' party. Understand that if it's beyond mediation, then hire Laura and keep your rights.
