Brad was ok at first lowering my support the first couple months but 6 months in $5000 dollars later and being charged for emails phone calls and $250 a court date which most were continued dates nothing really actually got done couldn't even win to claim my daughter on my taxes bunch of paperwork and nothing happens worst experience I ever had in the court system

I have used Attorney Tengler twice, first for my divorce in 2018, and second for a custody dispute that was settled TODAY. Originally I had been referred by a friend who was also very satisfied with his services, and since then I have referred other friends to his office as well. It's obvious from the beginning that Brad is a calming force who genuinely cares about his clients and their cases, especially when children are involved. Together we developed a plan of action that gave me peace of mind knowing that Brad would always let me know of all possible roadblocks and outcomes. My case was a tricky one, but in the end, we got the outcome we wanted and I couldn't be happier. I also can't say enough great things about his extremely personable staff--Ryan and Holden especially, who are so wonderful at answering any questions I had and also provided moments of levity throughout my custody battle. I would highly recommend his office to anyone who needs a lawyer to fight for them. I'm beyond grateful for the professional yet compassionate work he did for my children and myself.

I don't think that I could have picked a better attorney to assist me. Brad walked me through every step and his expert counsel led me to a final judgement that was beyond my expectations. The pandemic and the fact that there was property involved made for a very long and frustrating process. Brad was always there to reassure me and guide me through to the end. I needed a lawyer and came across Mr. Tengler so I decided to go with him. My free consult was very good and I decided to go with him for my legal needs. This was during COVID so the matter took a very long time that was out of his hands. I will say though during the duration of my case Mr. Tengler was always nice and professional to me every time we spoke. He didnt play games or phone tag with me. He was upfront and honest. Now here is, in my opinion, what really stood out and spoke volumes to me. He has a paralegal names Ryan Smith. I spoke to Ryan mostly during my case. Ryan is by far the nicest and most professional paralegal I have ever talked to. He was never once rude to me or unprofessional to me. He got to know me very well, always looked at any problem we faced at every angle. Because of Ryan Smith, it made my experience a very pleasant one. He got to know me on a first name basis and would even reach out to me with any ideas that he came up with and always kept me in the loop with everything that was going on. I would recommend using this group if you ever need a lawyer and you will not be disappointed one bit with Ryan and how much he goes out of his way to handle things and gets answers and results. Very disappointed at his lack of people skills and only attended 2 court appearance than kept my retainer. The second Court appearance he summoned my adult kids who took off of work to be told none of you are going to say anything. Court in Boone county where I live and for his convenience I had court appearance in his office on zoom. The 2nd court appointment something very significant happened and he didn't want to hear it which he stated. He asked for temporary guardianship however the Judge knew what happened and stated we doing guardianship. He may have been prepared had he be willing to listen for 5 minutes. So if you want to be ripped off and unheard he's the lawyer for you. significant happened he told me he didn't want to hear.

I highly recommend Attorney Brad Tengler. He is extremely knowledgeable, considerate, and professional. He is great when it comes to responding to any calls or concerns you may have. His office staff, Ryan and Holden, are excellent as well. I will definitely use Attorney Tengler again if the need arises.

Mr.Tengler, I hired you and your office with confidence that you would fight for me. That you would treat me with respect and without prejudice and use the law to represent me. Instead you took my $3500 retainer knowing I lived out of state knowing my history and how difficult my case was. You choose to represent me and for months you did nothing. You obtained my money and or very first phone call you told me you knew the other lawyer on a personal level and she would’ve never conducted her business unfair which is not the case. Not only did you know my opposing counsel,I know for a fact that you have clients that you have met on a personal level which I know on a personal level as well. You judged by my past and my distance that no matter what you would profit. I live all the way in Hawaii and I trusted you with my money and was confident you would fight for me. I gave you my money and for months you did nothing, for months I received no status. Hawaii had no problem conducting legal matters all through COVID-19 but apparently you tried to blame the slowness on COVID. You made me wait around and then said it was cause I didn’t sign paperwork which I was not informed by a phone call ,which you did not send to my residence and given the distance you would think there would be multiple forms of contact. You conducted everything through email and thought that was enough. With the money you obtained you would think that I would at least get an assistant to call and ask about paperwork. I am a client and do not know how the law or paperwork work. That is why I hired you. To inform me and to keep me informed. Only after I posted on social media on a Friday about my lack of confidence in you and how I wanted to fire you is when I got a phone call. A phone call which magically happened on a Saturday the day after I made that Facebook post. All the sudden on a weekend you call to say you filed something for me. So seems to me you only care when your reputation and money are on the line. I with drew from you and was scared to hire another attorney from Rockford cause I didn’t want my time and money wasted again. When I confronted you on why I hadn’t received phone calls, you had the audacity to say “Well phone calls cost money” ... well isn’t that why you got $3,500 upfront? So you could pick up a phone and use my money. Now I am defenseless in court. I have no drug history or history of abuse or neglect. I even passed a hair follicle and my opposing party used the fact that I was in abusive relationships. So apparently if you’re abused it’s your fault and you will continued to be haunted and punished for it as long as you live. The Rockford court system does not care for victims. I have changed my life around and have been stable and in a healthy place for a while. All I needed was a good attorney to fight for me. All I got was someone who did not care and took my money with no intention of fallowing through on the fighting for me part. As I said Hawaii had no problem conducting legal matters through COVID. All you had were excuses. I hope you don’t continue conducting your business this way.

I called to setup consultation for my wife. Was for the next day. Call never came after my wife took time out of work to make sure that she was made available around there schedule. Called after appointment was missed left message no call back. Called early that morning to ask if there was miscommunication or maybe my wife didn’t receive the call. No I was told the attorney must have been running late. Questioned why we weren’t notified or even called to ask for a reschedule. Then question if this was the type of representation I was going to get from this law office. I said good day and hung up. I have read numerous reviews with this attorney office missing appointments and being very hard to get a hold of. I can say I don’t always listen to bad reviews because I know some people get mad and lash out on internet but try to have my own experience before I judge. Well I can say if they can’t even have the simple courtesy’s for people that are in a tremendous amount of need for there service then they don’t deserve my business. Find a attorney that cares about there clients not there retainer fees.
