I would highly recommend Amil Alkass. Very experienced, knowledgable, and assertive. I know many people do not like lawyers, but he's the exception. An excellent person to work with. He is so personable and seems to know everyone in court, even my judge! Very happy with what he's done for me.

Amil Alkass represented me on a pro bono basis after my first attorney withdrew because I could no longer afford to pay him to finish up my divorce and custody. Before meeting and hiring Mr. Alkass, I only had a two hours of vistiation with my son because my first lawyer failed to do anything to change that even though I always asked for that order to be changed. After hiring Mr. Alkass, I now see my son about 45% percent of the time and because of that i pay no child support!!! He did a great job closing out my custody case and my divorce, I could not be any happier. Met with Amil Alkass for a consultation and hired him for an ongoing divorce. He is extremely knowledgable and answered my questions without sugar coating them or blowing smoke like some of the other attorneys I consulted with. He was honest nd straightforward and what he told to expect happened that way in court. He has the experience to handle cases from start to finish. He is great and so down to earth, a really likable man. I would hire him for any other legal work and would most definitely refer him to EVERYONE I know!!!!!!!!

I had a previous lawyer that was not moving my case along. He would have status after status with no progress. I fired my previous lawyer and retained Amil Alkass of Lavelle Law. Mr. Alkass sat with me for an 1+ hours at the initial meeting and discussed what my concerns were and what problems I was having with my first attorney and what issues needed to be resolved. Mr. Alkass, within 6 weeks, was able to set a trial date, negotiate a settlement with my wife, and concluded the case! Great to work with because he doesn't talk down to you. He approaches a divorce with a goal of settling the case rather than wasting money away on fees.

Let me first say that Mr. Amil Alkass is a professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate lawyer. He understands how emotional and stressful a divorce can be and guided me through my experience; he explained it "like having a death of a close family member; the emotions are all the same" He was RIGHT!! Whenever I had a question or needed advice about any issue, I would ask and he would respond in a way that explained things without over complicating the matter. Unfortunately, a divorce was not a place I wanted to be at this stage of my life, but working with Mr. Alkass made it a positive experience. My Husband was intent on dragging the case out and really had no reason to make it a quickie divorce. Amil explained my options for moving the case along and we eventually finalized the case with my husband really just walking out of the house. I hope to never divorced ever again, but working with Amil made it a bit more tolerable. I met with 2 other lawyers before I hired Amil Alkass' firm, and the first lawyer seemed to only discuss the retainer and nother else, the second lawyer, although nice, seemed to busy to return my calls to even schedule the time to meet with me for my consultation! If you need a divorce lawyer, hire Mr. Alkass!
