Al Catella is a great Lawyer & friend!! He has helped my husband & I in numerous occasions!! We will never go anywhere else!! We also love his wife as well!!

If you have a traffic violation, avoid this lawyer at all costs! First of all, his communication is horrible! I tried arranging a day via multiple emails to go over things before the court date, and all he said was, "We will go over it on that court date." On the court date, he tells me, I need to do some research before we present our case; even though we talked about things during the last court meeting. Okay Mr. Catella, I tried communicating that with you through emails and when I brought this up to him, he said, "Well that's how I do business, and if you don't like it, go find another lawyer." I have never seen someone get so upset before just because I asked him a simple question. The state was going to settle for my traffic violation, until Alvin brought It up to misdemeanor charges. Instead of defending me, he raises the possible charges against me. That's when I knew that the state and MY LAWYER were against me. Since day one, this guy didn't bother to help me or give me any hope. He just wanted to collect money from my company. If you have a traffic violation, don't bother contacting him hoping he will help you out. Before the trial started, he had no clue to what kind of traffic violation I had. Even though I told him so many times via emails what my violation was. He was sitting there looking at articles that he just printed and didn't bother reading them prior to our court date. By being uninformed, I had no idea what I was going to expect at my trial today. All I was told was, "We will discuss things at court." Again, I want to reiterate, if you want to win a case DO NOT contact this lawyer.

My son recieved a ticket for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. He did have insurance, but couldn't find his card. He was given a court date, but couldn't make it due to a planned vacation. I was under the understanding that he had to appear in court to show proof. I called Mr. Catella and explained the situation and asked him what he would charge to appear in my son's behalf or if anything else could be done. $125. I called to confirm that I my son had to appear and was told that he could simply bring his insurance card to the circuit clerk and the case would be dismissed. I was shocked! I'm confident that Mr. Catella knew this was an option but was willing to take $125 from my son to do this. I understand the man wants to make a buck...but that seems outright wrong! I got a really icky feeling when I thought about it. I wouldn't call this man again.

Mr. Catella handled a rather convoluted, contested probate case for me; and, within two years, he had closed the estate as per the deceased last will in testament wishes.

I have used Al for multiple legal issues ranging from power of attorney and wills to traffic and minor legal issues. He's been great. Great service and favorable legal outcomes. My family and I will continue to use him.
