DIvorce is not easy but Jeff was very communicative and on the ball for everything. I switched lawyers after first law firm had case for 13 months and got nowhere. Jeff got divorce finalized within 7 months and really helped negotiate a fair settlement. I highly recomend Jeff

This woman committed legal malpractice against me. She had me sign the wrong version of my MSA and then charged me $600 to do my QILDRO and when my ex retired 7 years after the divorce was final we discovered SHE NEVER did the QILDRO so if he had died I would have received NOTHING. Finally when my new lawyers reached out to her countless times she ignored them every time. This woman cost me over $50,000 in missed money. DO NOT USE HER and if you do make sure you go over all your paperwork with a fine toothed comb.

Jeff did an excellent job managing my divorce, even though my ex and his attorney tried to stall and complicate the process as much as they could. This was a painful process, but it was reassuring to know I was in good hands. Jeff fought for what I wanted for both myself and for my children, and he won. He is an expert on the law and explained everything patiently and kindly to me. He paid attention to the many details and was a good listener. His office staff was efficient and professional. I utilized Tricia's services for recalculating child support with my ex-wife. Tricia is very professional, strong knowledge of case law, and provided cost effective ways for my ex-wife and I to get the details pre-agreed upon without my wife's lawyer or Tricia. This was nice to see since it showed she was ethical and professional, and NOT trying to churn fees. Most importantly Tricia showed empathy for me, my children and even my ex. Many divorced situations turn ugly. Tricia's empathy and care she showed for all parties speaks volumes about her ethics and morals. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking legal counsel in this unfortunately area of the law.

Jeff Muntz completely turned my case around - he is the reason my baby boy has equal and frequent access to both me and his mom. As a single father navigating a contentious divorce and fighting for parenting time and overnights, the odds seemed against me. When my previous attorney wasn't able to get a favourable outcome, I contacted Goostree Law Group and retained Jeff in January 2021. Swift and to the point, he isn't afraid to take on an aggressive opposing attorney. Shortly after he took my case, my parenting time was expanded to overnights. Throughout the case, Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The way he bills time is very fair and convenient whenever I needed to have a short phone call with him. He gives clear updates after every court appearance. Most importantly, Jeff's experience as a GAL and understanding of the legal system proved invaluable. He was able to bring the opposing party to the table and negotiated a settlement favourable for everyone, resulting in 50/50 parenting time before our boy turned one. If you're a father reading this now, then you know that's not an easy feat in Illinois. I should add, he makes for a pretty good therapist, though I don't recommend it from a financial standpoint LOL - it's better and cheaper to keep your inner noise to a minimum and go for a jog instead. No doubt divorces can be expensive. Jeff's hourly rate is higher than some other attorneys, but that's for a good reason. In hindsight, I would've spent a LOT less money overall if I had hired Jeff Muntz from the start. For those in the middle of it, hang in there - it does get easier. My case ended in September 2021, and things have been pretty great since. Maybe you're lucky and you're going through an easy case, or perhaps your case is more like mine, and you feel like there's no way forward. Either way, get Jeff!

Jeff was a great attorney. I had a very odd child custody agreement from out of state. He brought it into the state and did an amazing job representing me. I didn't always understand what was going on but Jeff made sure I was given a fair amount of time. Jeff put some points in my allocation at the time didn't seem like a big deal, but now over a year later I can use those points he put in to keep everything fair and everyone accountable. Jeff understood what my family wanted and needed and did a very good job on getting us those wants and needs. I am very grateful for all the work Jeff did. My case could have been very different without him.
