Mr. Medina recently helped me with my court case and I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the outcome. Mr. Medina always returned my calls in a timely manner (even on weekends) and would thoroughly address all my questions and concerns. In court, he was very professional and courteous - he explained everything to me along the way to make an otherwise unpleasant experience into a smooth one which ended up saving me time and money! I can't thank him enough.

I contacted Matt after trying to work through an issue for my son. We anticipated potential legal charges. Matt got right back to me, explained what scenarios I might face and made me feel very comfortable that if I needed to hire him he would do the absolute best job to protect my son. Once we heard back from the police I contacted Matt to give him an overview. He explained what to expect going forward and refused payment even after I offered. Although I hope to never need him again, I know Matt is the guy I will call first.

There is a very heavy emphasis on money with Mr. Medina's firm. I simply needed a law interpreted to understand how it applied to me and called to see if him or his law firm could help me.
After briefly speaking with Mr. Medina over the phone, I set up an appointment to see him with his receptionist. At the time she made a point to ask if I wanted to pay over the phone. As I had not received any services at the time, I thought it was a little odd to ask me to pay several days before we met. I declined and said I would pay when I met with him.
When I got there, even before his receptionist told him I was there, the first thing she asked me to do was to pay her. Since it was 4 PM on a Friday, I didn't think much of it, but it did reinforce her preoccupation of money with me.
After I sat down with Mr. Medina, the very first thing he put in front of me to sign was a short, single paged document that stated i would not dispute any reoccurring credit card charges.
Since I was only hiring Mr. Medina to explain a law to me, I only anticipated meeting with him once. I didn't understand why I would have to sign anything regarding reoccurring credit card charges, and I questioned how this document was applicable to me.
At the time he said it insured I didn't dispute being charged for his services. I pointed out the document was not referring to someone disputing bills for services rendered, but rather reoccurring credit card charges.
I repeatedly asked him to explain why I would need to sign a document of that nature. He was very polite but the only explanation he gave was he didn't handle the firms finances and stated it was required.
I was only interested in hiring Mr. Medina to explain a law to me, and was rather baffled by his insistence it was required. Because I wasn't comfortable with signing it, I was fairly insistent he explain it's veracity.
At one point Mr. Medina left the room, and I fully expected him to return either with a different document or to say I didn't have to sign it.
Instead when he returned he began scratching out and initializing where it referenced reoccurring credit card charges. Which as the majority of this document.
After he was done scratching out a large section of this document, I did view it as being relatively worthless as an agreement. His attempt to make me more comfortable with it had the opposite affect though. I remained confused by his insistence I sign something that appeared to be a worthless agreement that didn't apply to my situation.
We went around and around about this document for about 5 minutes before I simply had to refuse to sign it. As soon as I told him that, he very politely thanked me for coming in and escorted me to the reception area.
Once there we talked to his receptionist about refunding my money. After a very brief, but confusing discussion about returning my money to me via Paypal, his receptionist claimed my money had been refunded via my credit card. She explained that I could expect to see the money credited to my account in a few days.
My meeting with Mr. Media lasted perhaps 10 minutes, and I'm still not entirely sure what happened there. He was very polite, and nice, and could be the best lawyer in DuPage county for all I know. Unfortunately, the heavy emphasis on money, and insistence I sign a financial document that didn't seem to apply to me hiring him destroyed my confidence in him and his firm.

I dug myself into a hole and didn't have any of the days of swap done by the due date. With just a few days advance I called him and somehow the judge switched my swap into a fine at the last minute. Really was expecting to go to jail.

We had the opportunity to have Mr. Medina as our family lawyer just last summer in Kane County. Not only was he able to negotiate the best possible outcome for our case, he did so with respect to the court and to our family. Matt's knowledge of the law from both the perspective of prosecution as well as defense helps immensely when dealing with the courts. His experience, knowledge and confidence were evident during the entire process. I highly recommend Matt for any legal needs.

I've known Matthew for most of my life. While growing up I always knew Matthew to be a great friend, classmate, and neighbor. It came as no surprise to me to find that he was also a great attorney. I found that out wholeheartedly when I contacted Matthew concerning a very sensitive situation which required "the right attorney". I did not know where to start, but I knew that finding Matthew Medina was paramount. Ultimately, Matthew Medina did not represent me, but with his assistance, we were capable of accomplishing a "not guilty" verdict over a charge that I was certainly not guilty of committing. I don't believe this would have been possible without Matthew Medina. Because of an overzealous, young, State's Attorney, Matthew knew that my case required a Stipulated Bench Trial. After some careful research, we found a reputable attorney who was familiar with that courtroom and judge, we got a Stipulated Bench Trial and beat the ridiculous charge. Thank You Matt!
