I know two of the principles and can attest to their integrity and character. Their ability and that of their individual attorneys have always been able to effectively handle my Companies legal requirements. Overall I would highly recommend Lavelle Law and I'm sure you will find they are an excellent value.

On the recommendation of Victoria Paton, I utilized Heather McCollum and Heather Walser to begin the estate planning process and established a trust, power of attorney, etc. The Heathers were wonderful and their team’s communication was clear and concise. They guided me through the process and made sure I understood the legal impact of my decisions. I was thrilled at how easy and organized they made the estate planning process.

Honestly, the main reason I reached out to them went smoothly. Unfortunately that lawyer left the firm, and we never received the paperwork I was supposed too. I have reached out to them requesting to speak with one of the managing attorneys, but no one has called me back. All I'm requesting is MY paperwork but they continue to just give me the run around. Pretty sad for a "reputable firm" Update: A managing partner finally calls me back after I requested 3 time for a call all week. States that we wouldn't get official document, but the email from their lawyer states they would receive it. Furthermore, he wants to defend their communication, and put the blame on the attorney even though it's the firm that I hired. I shared my perspective on how communication could be better, but (Ted) didn't seem to care and actually defended their communication skills, and argued "would you want us to stop working on another client to call you back". It's been three days and you have a huge firm but you cant call an old client back. Once you already pay them, they don't care.

I am very grateful for the countless hours and all the hard work that each of Lavelle's team professionals involved put in,in order to resolve positively our home sale procedure. They're very slick, they will represent you and destroy you at the same time. They were unethical in handling of my simple divorce with no kids, no alimony and Illinois law of 50/50 split. Should have done it online. After firing the attorney that I started with, they overcharged me for a substitute and extended the case for 3 years. They took advantage of me during the worst time of my life. All they care about is your money and they want all of it. My wife wrote a simple divorce agreement with no alimony. I went to them for advice and they told me not to accept it and they would represent me. After discovery and they found out how much money I had, they delayed and extended the case until they got all of it, including my retirement accounts.

At a critical time in my professional life, I was forced to make an important decision regarding legal representation based on nothing more than a referral. A scary proposition. I soon met with Matt Sheahin, then began working closely with Brian Massimino. I was immediately impressed with Brian’s thoughtful and thorough approach to his work, and was further made comfortable by his knowledge and calm demeanor. In a crisis, it is often the clearest thinkers who are most effective. Brian has a sharp legal mind, and was methodical both in dissecting the nuances of my legal matter and in providing wise counsel to properly address this matter every step along the way. He was ALWAYS available to discuss my case, and honestly made me feel like it was personal to him in ways I cannot imagine are normal for such relationships. THIS is what stands out most to me about Brian Massimino as an attorney. When you NEED legal representation… what you WANT is talented, motivated, people who are willing to bring their full arsenal of talent to bear by working hard on your behalf to achieve clearly determined goals, while maintaining consistent communication with you throughout. Then you want them to WIN. Brian did all of these things, and I will always be thankful to him and this organization, for that. Everyone I have come into contact with at Lavelle Law has been a pleasure to work with, but Brian was the tip of the spear in my case, and I am very happy that he was! When I was ready to give up on a very long and messy child support case because I had no fight left in me, Annette Corrigan took my case and fought for me. We retained Lavelle Law for a complicated business transaction. Frank Portera was the attorney assigned to our account. Our transaction was a critical path/time sensitive transaction that required constant interaction and numerous immotile deadlines. Frank was always ahead of the curve and and drove the progress of this transaction to its end. While our past experiences with attorneys has been seemed to always be one of a slow trudging pace, Frank moved at what we would describe "lightning Speed". We cannot express enough gratitude to Lavelle Law and especially Frank Portera for driving our transaction through the goal posts!

I was stuck in a case that had already taken nearly 2 years. My previous attorney had personal family issues and needed to be excused from the case. It was an extraordinarily difficult case due to mental health issues involving family members. A friend recommended Collen Breems to me. Colleen, Annette and the Lavelle Law team brought my case to a close effectively in less than 2 months. I wish that I hired Colleen from the beginning of me case.
