I was seriously injured at the Menards Home Improvement Store in March 2008. It occurred when an employee was working a forklift in the aisle adjacent to where I was shopping. He pushed 2 boxes, each containing a bathroom sink and a vanity, off a shelf that was about 20 feet overhead. One of the boxes landed on my head and knocked me to the floor. I suffered multiple serious injuries including a broken neck. Menards refused to take responsibility for the injuries that were caused by their negligence and, prior to going to trial, they added insult to the injuries by secretly having me under video surveillance for over a year. I enlisted the services of Richard Turner as my legal representative. Throughout the pretrial preparation and the trial itself Mr. Turner's expertise, experience and professionalism were very apparent. I had never been involved in a lawsuit prior to this accident. Mr. Turner and his staff kept me fully informed of the procedures and process as we prepared for trial. Before the trial Mr. Turner's advice for when I took the witness stand was "Just tell the truth." I think this makes a statement about his integrity. During the trial Mr. Turner was well prepared with the details of my case as well as being convincing and professional. I took great comfort in having him as my representative.
