Just a wonderful experience…the nurses were nice asl and they made me comfortable with the fact that my eyes were at stake..lol But the process was extremely normal and nothing to worry about…I’m recommending the LASIK Institute to anyone interested in LASIK.

Everyone that works here is so kind. I do wish there were more follow up appointments to monitor your recovery. They only saw me 3 days after the procedure and said you’re done and my eyes were not completely healed. I wish they would monitor you for longer.

Great work by the doctors and rest of the staff, they were able to get everything from consultation to actual procedure in 4 hours. I’ve never seen this crystal clear in my life even with contacts and glasses. I would give 10 stars if I could!

I contemplated getting Lasik for years and after reading everyone’s reviews on here, I decided to go through with it. But if I would have read my review, maybe I would have decided against it and I’m leaving this review today in hopes it may help someone else. Lasik took away my best vision. I started wearing glasses in 2nd grade and contacts for over 20+ years. My prescription was high, but I never had any problems with my contacts. My left eye was -8 and my right was -6.5 and I’m 38 years old. It’s been 6 months and my depth perception is gone, constant halos, ghosting in my left eye and now faces are blurry when someone is less than 10ft away from me. I went for my consultation the beginning of September 2023 and met with Dr. Pappas. He made me feel at ease, told me I was a candidate and that his prescription was similar to mine when he got Lasik. One thing I remember him saying though, that sticks in my memory, was that his wife would never get Lasik. I wish I would have realized, perhaps that’s a red flag, but 3 weeks later I had my procedure. Everything went well, my eyes burned for a bit afterwards, but slept if off and went back the next day for my follow-up. All seemed good, but a couple of months later my vision was still blurry and halos were horrible. I called their 1800 number (which is a complete joke) to have them transfer me to the office to address my concerns. I was able to see Dr. Pappas, and again he made me feel with ease. Told me let’s wait another 3 or so months to see if there’s any improvement and give your eyes time to adjust. I followed his advice, but after discussing with my family and noticing they could see signs or people’s faces when I couldn’t it started to take a toll on me. Especially when I can’t see my son’s face when he’s 10ft away running down the hall so I called the 1800 number again. This time I had to fight with them to have a doctor see me. What they don’t tell you is when you hit 6 months, they won’t help you anymore, however I was able to make an appointment. I was hoping to see Dr. Pappas again, but quickly realized they made me meet with Dr. Nagey for a reason. He’s ice cold, no compassion and horrible bedside mannerism. All my concerns went in one ear and out the other. They pretend you have 20/20 vision, which is untrue because I guessed on every single letter. I couldn’t read them at all. After he checked my eyes (for literally 2 seconds) he asked, any questions? I asked if he thought if there’s any chance my eyes could still improve he said, ‘maybe, but it is what it is’ and then proceeded with, ‘do you know your way out?’ I left with no answers. Complete waste of time. They honestly don’t want anything to do with you and hope to never see you again after your surgery. “You can expect continued follow-up visits for 3 months after surgery” is a lie and false advertisement on their website. They want your 4K and nothing else. In the end, I wish I never got Lasik.
