I originally made contact to make a payment arrangement. And they told me that they couldn't give me a payment arrangement or tell me what to do because that would be legal advice. And they couldn't give me any legal advice. So i made a payment anyway. The papers I got served with came past the date that I was supposed to contact the court. They froze 4 of my accounts including one of my child's accounts. They held $8,000 for $2,000. Told me I would have to wait to go to court to release my accounts even if the $2,000 was paid off. My payment was never reflected in the amount the froze my accounts for. Horrible. I called again to see what o could do. I am pregnant and have no way to feed my 2 kids or pay bills. In great of losing my home over $2,000. I was told by a rep at blitt and gains that wasn't his problem that he only wanted to hear about how it would get paid. I was also told that I could send in a certified payment but that still wouldn't release my accounts. I needed to call my back lots of back and forth bank my bank is willing to with with me. I just don't want to lose everything I worked so hard for. Also upon looking into this it is illegal for them to hold anything over $1,000 let alone $8,000 for a $2,000 debt

Was required to give a rating or they'd get NOTHING. rude individuals who care only about money. Their garnishment will have myself and my two children homeless within a month. I hope they go home every night and tell their kids they care more about money than them because that's exactly how it is. No heart no nothing. Can't get an answer from them on anything but they're happy to send garnishment immediately to my employer. I'm sickened by people.

Always, always, always get a lawyer to negotiate with them. I've had 2 lawsuits from these guys and the first time I had a lawyer represente me and they(Blitt &Gaines) drug their feet with everything. 2nd time I negotiated myself and when they said they would settle for xyz amount but they needed payment first then they would send the letter stating the settlement all the red flags flew high. I contacted my lawyer, asked if it was normal to do this and when he said no I knew my suspicions were confirmed. I called B&G back, told them to put the offer in writing and I would pay it otherwise I would be contacting my lawyer, 2 days later I had a settlement letter in my inbox...DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING UNLESS YOU GET IT IN WRITING FIRST AND RECORD ALL COMMUNICATION ON YOUR END AS WELL! Verbal agreements don't hold up in court and if they do record it, you can best bet they will magically "lose" their recording.

Every single time I have called this place to get help, ask a question or just figure something out for MY WELL BEING, I am never helped. I will never understand their way of doing things for customer service. It’s very rude and unpleasant to deal with this firm.

Like everyone else who's had to contact Blitt & Gaines, I had some debt I was being sued for and had to pay a lump sum to Blitt & Gaines in order to avoid going to court, which of course I made sure I did! Thankfully my debt was <$2,000 so it wasn't life-shattering, but still not ideal. I called them a couple of days after I was served in order to get this taken care of ASAP. The lady who I spoke on the phone with was great at answering all my questions as this was my first time dealing with being served a summons and complaint for debt. She walked me through my options for payment and I decided to just pay a lumpsum settlement. They didn't have affordable payment plans (payment plans have to go through another process and it ends up costing more than the settlement, at least it did for me) which could suck especially if you have other huge expenses, etc. so for me it was better to just settle for less and pay it off all at once rather than risk getting sent to court and having to pay even more. I'm fortunate in that I make a decent wage and don't have a ton expenses to do this but I understand that not everyone does. My advice to anyone who has to pay their debt to this firm: 1.) Do your research as soon as you get served! I asked cc debt and cc subreddits for advice and that helped a lot, so I called Blitt and Gaines! 2.) Try to just pay it off without having to go to court, make any payment arrangements, etc. since it's risky and you could end up paying them even more money. 3.) Call Blitt and Gaines multiple times to confirm everything is good to go and in order for when they take your settlement money out of your bank. I called a couple times after the first time to confirm and found out they took my address down wrong, so I fixed that and confirmed my banking info as well. So make sure you confirm your info! If they for some reason aren't able to get your money, they'll make it worse for you and can take you to court, garnish your wages etc. But don't freak out besties, just stay on top of it and you'll never have to talk them again.

Long story short, I owned up to my debt, still took me to court. And really won't work on monthly payments. I get they want their money but at this wonderful time. Everything is too dang expensive. If you have a debt with this company GGs and Goodluck.

If you work for this company, YOU are evil! YOU are just as guilty as your employer! I can not believe the government hasn't shut this down yet. Very illegal practices and incompetent record keeping. These people should be in jail and heavily fined. Our debt was paid through the court like all debts of this kind should be. Then they turn around and take double the debt out of our checking account with zero notice.

Not sure who I spoke with but she was extremely helpful and even broke down how many payments I would need to make and when I'd be done.
