Single father here. I had an intense situation with my son's safety and went through a lot to have custody of him, but we did it, and it was because of Patti Fox and the Abear Law team. I even needed to go through civil court in the city and the team immediately jumped on hiring an appropriate lawyer to represent me out there. I won my court case out in Cook County AND DuPage county and have majority custody of my son who is in a safe and healthy environment. Had it not been for Patti and Abear Law, I don't think the outcome would have been the same. They were very helpful and transparent, and tried to be as clear and descriptive as possible to help me understand specific outcomes and judgements. They were integral to helping me win my rights as a father, which is somehow still ridiculously rare in Illinois. I'm extremely thankful for their help and am happy that it's all over. This is what lawyers are for, and I am grateful for my outcome each and every day. Thank you Patti & Abear Law.

I chose Patti Fox based on the numerous reviews. I figured the few bad ones had to be outliers. Moody disgruntled clients. Please go elsewhere! After 7 months of basically filing papers and cc numerous emails they charged me 20+k and accomplished nothing. As soon as she got me to take money out of my retirement to pay them, she dropped me as a client. We have a house, 1 child, and a couple retirement accounts. This was not a difficult case. Men...she will not fight for your rights as a parent! Be warned! Additionally every time I needed her to be the professional, she would ask me what I wanted to do...I didn't know what to do... that's why I hired a lawyer. She seems incapable of anticipating the oppositions responses and actions. She was always caught off guard and seemed helpless to know how to respond. This was a huge waste of money and now I have to start all over. If you have a ton of money to waste, go for this firm. Otherwise I would stay far away.

I hired Patti Fox for my divorce and she was excellent! I knew when I had issues post decree she would be there to help! Very satisfied!

In retrospect, I wish I’d hired Patricia Fox for my divorce in ‘09. She represented me starting in late ‘19 to get full custody of my children from their abusive mother. That’s not always an easy task for a man. Her legal acumen is top tier and she’s razor sharp. There was never a problem with communication and she never tried to name nickel and dime me for phone conversations that sometimes lasted a good hour. She was always one step ahead during the litigation and finally by the end of this past summer we were done. My children are safe and it was worth every penny.

I called Abear law firm in a panic. I had received orders to be in court on a Friday and didn't get it in the mail until the Wednesday before at 5pm. Thursday morning I called and explained my situation, and Patty Fox took my case immediately, even knowing it was going to be quite difficult with how many details it entailed. Patty has been absolutely amazing. She has been responsive and stood by my side and fought for me every step of the way in this case. I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer, especially not being from or residing in IL. The office is also great with payments and helping arrange payment plans as well! You can't go wrong choosing Abear Law to represent you!

Another outstanding experience with Tony Abear and his team at Abear Law. Tony represented our family in a foster to adopt situation 10 years ago and was absolutely outstanding in all aspects of the case. He was great at communicating with us and is a legal genius as it was a difficult case but the outcome was in our favor due to Tony’s expertise. Fast forward 10 years and we had another situation recently where legal services were required. We did not hesitate to get in touch with Tony and again he and his team delivered an incredible outcome. We are so thankful. Tony is kind, compassionate, brilliant and a great listener, an overall fantastic person and attorney.

I called for a consultation for a custody case. Giving them the benefit of the doubt since I know lawyers are very busy, I gave them a week to respond, then called again when no one got back to me. After the consult, they agreed to take on my case. Once I decided to hire them, I called to have them send me the retainer agreement. I planned to call back a week later to remind them to email it to me, but I decided that if they can’t respond in a timely manner when I’m trying to pay them for a service I need, how would they handle my case? I’m very disappointed in their lack of professionalism and responsiveness and will NOT be recommending this law firm.

Tony when you shake a person's hand and tell them your there for them and your Lawyer failed after a year and a half drug out case that should have only taken under 3 months You left my fiancee high and dry you ignored 3 different packets dropped at your office Your lawyer only lost ground !
