I was able to rebound very quickly after my filing. My credit score went up to 700 within a very short time of filing. Attorney Siegel told me when I filed that I would be able to get back on my feet again. I had no idea that it would be so quick. All of the nightmares of my past finances (medical debt, repossession and foreclosure) are only memories now. At my court date for bankruptcy, my attorney gave me his book about getting to know FICO. The whole point was to help me improve my credit score for my future. I was the only one in a room of 50 who was given this book by the attorney. It’s the little things that make a big difference. Attorney Siegel cared enough to try and help me stay out of debt. The good news is that it worked. I am doing incredible now. Thank you to all at David Siegel’s office who played a part in helping me.

I had some serious financial issues. I had a prior job loss and felt completely overwhelmed with my debt situation. After speaking with Tim Mahoney, he suggested that I call David Siegel’s office. When I did, the firm recommended Chapter 13 since my household income at the time exceeded the amount for a Chapter 7. Also, Chapter 13 allowed for me to keep all of my property. It made perfect sense and I have been making all of my payments since. I recently went to see Mr. Siegel personally because I needed to have a document unrelated to my case notarized. He notarized the document and spent a lot of time with me inquiring as to how I was doing. After talking with him and getting to know him better too, I left the office feeling grateful in the choice of attorney I had made. If you have a chance, I highly suggest that you meet with David Siegel directly. He got me in a better position than before I saw him. Cool guy, class act.

I thought about filing Chapter 13 for a long time. I wanted to save my car, but I was unsure of how it all worked. I had seen the TV commercials for bankruptcy for years, but I did not get a warm feeling about the ads or the person on the screen. I then talked to my Mom about it. She was the one who told me about attorney David Siegel. She said he was different and that I would really like him. He had helped her and other people that she had recommended. I always trust my Mom so I called his number. I met him and his assistant on the following Saturday. I was so happy to find him to get one on one attention. I was able to avoid the TV lawyers that brag about how many cases they file. I only cared about my case and was actually turned off by their claims. Anyway, I filed Chapter 13 and was able to save my car. When I decided that I no longer wanted to keep my car, my lawyer told me that I was able to convert to Chapter 7 and wipe out the debt completely. That is what I did and I could not be happier. I have another car now and no debt holding me down. I have been debt free for five months now and I wanted to let others know that there is help out there. You can find a great attorney if you ask around and know the right people. I want to personally thank attorney David Siegel. He made the fact that I was in debt a thing in the past for me. He never emphasized or harped on me being in debt. He only wanted to see me get out of debt. For that, I am extremely grateful and I will continue to sing his praises.

I have filed two cases with David M. Siegel & Associates. The first case was a Chapter 13 and the second case was a Chapter 7. My most recent case helped me get a fresh start. He was able to file my case without all of the money down. He let me make small payments once I was granted my fresh start. I was struggling with medical bills and past due utility bills. Dave assured me that he could get them to stop harassing me and he was right. I have now moved to Florida and I am debt free. I can now start my financial life over in my new location. Everything is better for me now. I just have to get used to the extreme heat down here in Florida. This is quite a bit different from Waukegan, Illinois.
