I called few Bankruptcy Attorney's who stated, my only option for filing was a Chapter 13 b/c I am a home owner. Since I can no longer work and only receive disability, this option really wasn't an option. My daughter who used Daniel suggested that I reach out to him. It would be hard to describe the feelings I had driving for my initial meeting with Dan Winter, prior to filing for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. By the time you get to that point, you're emotionally battered, at the bottom of a very dark pit, and the only reason you're going is that there is no other option. You're prepared for the worst and just ready to get on with it. With all of that as preamble, I can't say enough about Dan Winter's services. He was professionally thorough, personally reassuring, and he took great care to explain every step of the process and what I could expect. Because of the nature of my filing it was very complex, and at least to me, very confusing; and it was made even more so by one challenge and a randomly selected federal audit. Dan walked me through each scenario, coordinated all of the document gathering (in the end something on the order of more than 2000 pages) and submissions, and worked through it all with the trustee, opposing counsel, and the auditors, on my behalf for each situation. I know that's what your bankruptcy counsel is supposed to do...but I can't imagine anyone doing a better job of it or leading me through it as well or as thoroughly as Dan did. This could have been a very threatening and confusing process; directly because of Dan's work it never approached any of that for me. In the end, it's a huge relief to have this behind me, and that process really started the day I walked into his office, had it all explained to me, and with his guidance felt like it was finally coming under control.
