A very good attorney but he needs to get rid of his secretary very rude and disrespectful

I do not write reviews very often at all, but I feel that Mr. McElroy's law firm deserves one. Mr. McElroy and his staff are phenomenal at their profession, and are always professional, curtious, respectful, and even empathetic. Which is extremely difficult to find in an attorney. Especially when said representation is court appointed. Unfortunately, in my experience, most public defenders come across as uncaring and narcassitic to their clients. Usually, a defendant who has been appointed a public defender, (especially in a serious criminal matter) feels hopeless and defeated well before the court proceedings begin. This is where Mr. McElroy's expertise is in full gear. His extensive knowledge of the legal system and court proceedings and etiquette are exceptional. Mr. McElroy ensures that all his client's questions are answered, even the redundant, rhetorical, mundane, and obvious questions that make other appointed public defenders roll their eyes. He does not make his clients feel as though they are beneath him because of a bad decision that was made or because of an addiction. Mr. McElroy treats all of his clients with respect regardless of their court appointment or their ability to obtain his services privately. Mr. McElroy's staff are exceptional as well! Always very curtious and respectful, regardless of the client's situation or question. Again, that is something that can be very difficult to find within the world of legal representation. So thank you to all of Mr. McElroy's legal and secretarial staff, you all deserve some recognition for your dedication, compassion, and understanding you show to all the clients that enter and call your office. Thank you for all you do! And to Mr. McElroy, you are an exceptional attorney and I thank you for how thorough and dedicated you are to all of your client's legal matters. Your ability to speak in such a straight forward and understandable way is really reassuring to your clients rather than the legal terminology other attorneys use. Your understanding and empathy is unheard of within the world of public defenders. I wanted to take the time out of my day to show my appreciation and to recognize you for all you do. Thank you for being such a great attorney and thank you for all the hard work you do every single day.

I AM FROM OHIO AND TOOK APLEA DEAL WHERE BELLINGER PROMISED TO GOD HE COULD GET MY HOUSE ARREST TRANSFERED TO OHIO WHICH IS THE ONLY REASON I TOOK A PLEA DEAL ON A 13 YEAR OLD CASE. THEY DONT EVEN TRANFER IT AT ALL AND BECAUSE I OWN MY OWN BUSINESS I COULDN'T JUST LEAVE MY BRAND NEW COMPANY WITH NO BOSS OR MAIN WORKER. WHEN I TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED HE FAILED TO ACT ANY FURTHER AND JUST HUNG ME OUT TO DRY. HE IS A LIAR AND MINIPULATOR AND WILL PROMISE YOU THINGS HE CAN'T DELIVER. I HAD TO TURN MYSELF IN AND SPEND TIME IN JAIL AND NOW I HAVE TO RETAIN ANOTHER LAWYER TO TRY AND NOT DO THE YEAR IN JAIL NOW HANGING OVER MY HEAD BECAUSE I DIDN'T DO THE HOUSE ARREST. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. YOU ARE BETTER OFF REPRESENTING YOURSELF AT THE LEAST AND BETTER OFF HIRING MR. MAGOO

Refuses to even listen to what you’re saying. Constantly talks over you. Mr. Ellis is the typical fast talking lawyer who treats people less than. He also hung up on me after refusing to let me speak. Don’t diminish potential clients. If you want a hard working down to earth attorney go elsewhere. This guy seems like the type to sell you down the River to help his next case get favoritism. Edited for response Simply saying you didn't want the case would have sufficed but what you did was insinuate that I was trying to get the deal changed that I already took which wasn't what was happening and then just talked at me instead of listening and talking to me, but you didn't hear dollars ring in your ears and that was it. But if you would have listened you would have been told I needed someone for violations hearing and the prosecutor wanted to talk to a lawyer about that. Not sure what he wanted but you were so rude and marginalizing to a potential client it makes me wonder if you treat anyone you can't charge 10 grand the same way. I found a lawyer who listened and helped me figure out what I needed and is taking care of it for me. But you just like most lawyers don't listen to nothing. You probably are a good lawyer in a big case but what is the point if you treat people like an @$$hole

Thanks to Nate Mcleroy my family's life will be forever changed for the better. In a seemingly hopeless situation, he advocated and went to bat for my family! When everyone told us we could not achieve the desired result with the situation we found ourselves in, Mr. Mcleroy achieved it for us. If you need a tenacious attorney who will not stop until you get whatever it is you need him for. I highly reccommend Nate to anyone looking for a good attorney!
