Both my attorney, Tara Cragen, and her paralegal assistant, Tonya Brock were superb! Tara provided top notch representation, and Tonya stayed on top of every case detail and piece of documentation. No document was ever misplaced and every timeline was met without fail. A busy attorney with a full case load needs a paralegal assistant that never misses anything and stays on top of every detail. After searching months for an attorney to help with my complicated and very unusual case someone pointed me to Cohen & Malad. I Had the pleasure of being represented by Brett Thomas, Michael McBride, and Arend Abel. For nearly two years they litigated on my behalf and kept me informed along every step of the way. Anytime communication was needed these guys responded quickly to emails and sat through lengthy phone calls with me so we knew every aspect of my case together. If they were occupied, their paralegal Karen was happy to assist. Without them there’s no way I would have got the great results I did with my case. They truly do care about their clients and strive to get the best results possible and it was definitely observed first hand by me. By far one of the best firms in the state. Micheal Arend and Brett are all amazing passionate attorneys who genuinely care and relate to those they represent. Not only are the attorneys amazing but the receptionist and paralegal team kept me informed every step of the way. They’ve worked together as a team to make sure every issue I brought to them ended in our favor. Each one of them do an amazing job at communicating, keeping me as involved as I do or don’t wanna be in the issue and are always planning our next move in court weeks if not months ahead so I would know what to expect.Not only that but my cases have included lots of embarrassing and personal matters that they never made me feel awkward or bad about they just listened got the information needed to prove their points. We had an exceptional experience with Greg Laker and his team. I always felt like he was truly engaged in our situation and wanted to achieve the absolute best outcome. Stalled for weeks as to whether or not they were accepting my case. When the paralegal seemed to be unable to do his job in an effective and timely manner, and I was left to repeatedly call for updates - they informed me they weren’t accepting my case because it was “too challenging”. Not that there wasn’t a case to be had. This is a lazy legal team that wasted a lot of time that could’ve been better spent elsewhere. If they don’t sign you on immediately, don’t let them blow smoke up your a** like they’re going to take your case and actually help you, or get you the justice you deserve, and for the love of god - fire your front desk worker.

I was injured while traveling thru Indiana from out of state. I’d had an accident yrs ago & did not want to relive a medical/legal experience. However, when the neurosurgeon informed me at least 2 surgeries lay ahead, I finally decided I should talk to an attorney. Although I was unfamiliar w Indiana law and knew no one in the state, I was fortunate that Dan Chamberlain took my call. Dan, Jeff Hammond, and paralegal Amanda May are a fabulous team. Besides just being personable, kind and understanding, I felt a deep, genuine concern for me that enabled us to work well together. From afar, they kept me well informed, explaining things in a realistic way that eased my frustration and anxiety. They were not just professional and detail-oriented, as one might expect, but creative and absolutely tireless in their advocacy and negotiation. They prevailed over the opponents’ numerous delays and extensive roadblocks, as well as dealt with multiple health insurance entities to reach a result, without trial, that was significantly more than anticipated. 5 stars are not enough.

Greg Laker came highly recommended to me to assist me with a personal injury claim I had resulting from a vehicle accident. The other party was underinsured and not collectible. I incurred significant medical bills and was unable to work during treatment. Greg and his paralegal, Amanda, worked tirelessly on my claim and was able to get the other party's insurance to submit payment up to their policy limit and was successful in getting my insurance to remit the balance through my policy limits without having to file a lawsuit. Greg and Amanda kept me informed during the entire process, answered all of my questions quickly and kept my stress level with this part of the entire process at a minimum. I am so grateful for their help, encouragement, and work ethic for this traumatic experience. I hope to never have to use their services again, but if I do need to, or know of anyone who is in a similar situation, I could not recommend them enough. Greg and Amanda are absolutely wonderful!

Disappointed I sent all my information into this law firm couple weeks ago. Then finally after I sent multiple emails and calls. I get a email denying representation after wasting my time. After I needed an attorney due to fraud. Which I’m into a certain time frame. Just wasted my effort and time. When I have proof of this fraud and the company who did fraud to my family is also undergoing multiple million dollar lawsuits. Why waste my time. I’m a mother and have a child who just had open heart surgery I spent a long time getting all my documents together. I don’t think this was professional or even right. Their paralegal wasn’t nice, empathetic or anything. I sent multiple emails and they were never responded to. If you’re representing people who have been victims of fraud and with our economy. I wasn’t given any advice, just they denying representation to me. And I’m in a time frame. Unapologetic and reguarded with no compassion. Thanks for wasting my time. I sent proof and it’s in plain sight the amounts of fraud that has been done to my business and family. Terrible experience
