The experience was indeed great! The volunteers were all smiling, happy and full of positive energy. They made us feel welcomed and my children were happy and loved the bags and supplies. We are grateful.

I did not leave a review of my experience with HLG when it happened, because I'm not sure at the time I knew about how to do it! But as late as it is, I still want to sing their praises! Several years ago, I finally began the very intimidating process of applying for Disability. I had several issues physically, and several doctors who had been encouraging me to apply, but being stubborn and independent, I continued to go through the work and reeducation process to keep myself employed for about five years. I finally hit that wall, figuratively speaking that I knew I could no longer conquer. I decided it was time. After waiting the obligatory wait time before I could apply, and looking into the process of applying for Disability on my own, I knew it was going to be a much bigger hurdle than I could scale on my own. I called three different legal groups who advertised their expertise in Disability Law. But Hensley was the first and only office who returned my call, within a few hours! Nobody else even bothered to call me back. From the first call, I was made to feel like my case mattered to them, and they seemed impressed at the advance work I had already done for myself. I was not sure that I had adequate grounds to apply successfully, but they made me feel like I had an excellent chance for success. I had already done very detailed research into the types of conditions they considered to be qualifying, and my over 20 years of detailed medical and surgical background was certainly helpful in understanding all the medical terminology involved. But in the legal areas I was a total novice, and knew I was definitely in over my head. Hensley staff were very compassionate, thorough in explaining the application process, potential time frame involved, and the fee structure. I never had to travel anywhere to complete paperwork, be interviewed by anyone, or was in any way inconvenienced. Everything was accomplished by phone, fax, email, or courier. I applied in November of the year involved, and even through the Holidays I was kept apprised of the progress of my case, their acquisition of numerous medical records, and my appointments with doctors working for Social Security. I waited through the holiday season, and on into the first of the year. Suddenly, a letter from Social Security appeared in the mail in February, and I was very nervous opening it, fearing it was a rejection requiring me to go through the appeals process, which, considering the low approval numbers, I had just come to expect. But, no! I had my approval, for benefits to begin in March! I was flabbergasted, and immediately grabbed the phone to call the office to let them know! They were so pleased for me, and my next question was how much was their fee for this amazing response? We discussed their legally bound fee structure, and where I fit into it, and I was once again amazed at how very fair it was! I had nothing but a praiseworthy experience with them, and will still consider them first and foremost for any legal needs I may have in future, should it happen to fall within their realm of expertise! I have already recommended them to family and friends, and will continue to do so in the future.

One person in particular though was Sarada Davis who was a complete joy and pleasure to work with. She was super helpful and always prompt with keeping me updated with my case. She’s amazing! They’re great all around!
